The combat style of the dream giants wasn't particularly flashy. They possessed massive physiques and tremendous strength, enough to smash any enemy into a meat patty on the spot.
Because of this, even taking a single hit was enough to make one feel extremely miserable.
Olivia had to exert a great deal of effort to take down the few dream giants at Triumphant Square.
After finishing such a battle, even her heart rate had sped up significantly, and her breathing was somewhat ragged.
As an Ascetic, her passive abilities included endurance enhancement and physical enhancement, yet she still felt a significant drain. It was clear that these dream giants were not easy to deal with.
Regardless, they were dealt with for now.
Only then did Olivia find the time to consult the magic mirror to check on the situation with the others.
However, when the magic mirror provided the answer, Olivia's expression darkened. The situation was looking grim.
The second wave of dream giants was too numerous and concentrated together. This made it exceptionally difficult for the clergy members to respond, and many were facing grave danger.
She had no choice but to use the King's Domain to redistribute the personnel, allowing more clergy members to group up and resolve the issues together.
But even that was not enough.
"I'm afraid I won't be getting any rest tonight," Olivia sighed.
...
Kaisen Street Square.
"Lady Tilda, my magic... is empty."
A pale-faced nun could barely stand, staggering back several steps with a look of terror in her eyes.
As a Priest, her role was to provide support, but the intense combat had drained her magic completely. She could no longer provide buffs to Tilda, who was the only one left standing.
Yes, only Tilda remained.
The other clergy members had all fallen to the ground. Though they hadn't died thanks to the Priest’s healing, they were no longer capable of fighting for the time being.
As for the five dream giants, not a single one had been defeated.
At this moment, Tilda, an Arbiter, was also reaching her limit.
She looked up only to see a dream giant's fist rapidly expanding in her vision. She no longer had the strength to dodge.
Facing this onslaught, she could only hold her broadsword in front of her to block.
Boom!
Accompanied by a loud crash, Tilda felt as if she had been hit by a speeding carriage. Her body was sent flying instantly. Before she even hit the ground, she spat out a mouthful of blood in mid-air.
Just as Tilda thought she would slam heavily into the ground, she suddenly felt her collar grabbed by a hand. Her body, falling like a tattered rag, was steadied in the air.
"Are you okay?" a familiar voice reached her ears.
Tilda strained to turn her head. Seeing it was Olivia, she immediately let out a sigh of relief.
"The rest... is up to you," she managed to say.
She didn't know why, but she felt such absolute trust in someone whose class rank was lower than her own.
She was an Arbiter, yet she couldn't handle these enemies. To feel a sense of relief upon seeing someone weaker than herself—it was a strange thought.
Had her judgment become clouded?
"Alright, leave it to me."
Olivia, however, didn't seem to find anything wrong with it.
She set Tilda down and turned her gaze toward the five approaching dream giants.
"Be careful, their strength is immense. You can't let them hit you," Tilda couldn't help but warn.
Olivia nodded.
Then, her figure abruptly vanished before Tilda's eyes, leaving Tilda stunned.
By the time Tilda spotted Olivia again, she had already appeared behind one of the dream giants, swinging her red-glowing weapon down in a heavy slash.
Ripp!
A massive gash was torn open across the dream giant's body instantly.
The attacked dream giant whirled around, swinging a palm toward Olivia.
The other four dream giants also reacted with incredible speed, quickly surrounding her and forming a perfect encirclement that blocked all paths of retreat.
But Olivia didn't need any paths of retreat.
Using the teleportation ability of the King's Domain, she vanished in an instant. She reappeared behind another dream giant on the outer edge and swung the Cross Grace down with all her might.
Following a tearing sound, this dream giant was also brutally sliced open, looking quite pathetic.
This kind of attack clearly disrupted the dream giants' rhythm. They were forced to readjust their positions to try and encircle Olivia again.
But before the dream giants could reach her, Olivia's figure vanished again in a flicker.
She had appeared behind yet another dream giant!
Olivia's current combat style was a complete eye-opener for Tilda.
In her eyes, Olivia seemed to have mastered a method of infinite teleportation, able to appear at any location at any time. Every time she appeared, she only needed to land one blow, and regardless of the result, she would vanish again immediately.
This combat style was... it was practically cheating!
Tilda could see that Olivia was still only a Sensate, but through the power of infinite teleportation, she achieved an incredible performance.
'Come to think of it, Sister Olivia used teleportation to send us to different areas for our missions earlier. How exactly does she do it? Is it... a forbidden artifact?'
Tilda could only think of this one explanation.
For a moment, a trace of envy appeared in her eyes, mixed with deep respect.
She could tell at a glance that this was no simple forbidden artifact; it had to be an extremely dangerous one. Such items were not something just anyone could hold and remain unharmed.
That Olivia could wield this forbidden artifact with the church's approval clearly meant she possessed the ability to suppress it. That was something others could only dream of.
Even if the same forbidden artifact were given to someone else, they wouldn't be able to use it.
"Incredible!"
It wasn't just Tilda marvelling; the other clergy members who hadn't lost consciousness were also in awe, filled with immense admiration.
In their eyes, Olivia's figure was a blurred shadow, coming and going like a phantom, hacking the dream giants into pieces until they were beyond recognition.
Under Olivia's relentless assault, no matter how many dream giants there were or how strong their attacks, they eventually shattered and collapsed under her fierce offensive.
The dust finally settled!
