This was the first time Serafina had seen a monster card in this form, and her curiosity was instantly piqued.
She reached out to grab the card floating in the air.
The card was silver-white in texture, featuring a unique border composed of snake-scale patterns.
Inside the border, it depicted a slender, pure white snake bone.
“Snake Bone of Eternal Imprisonment?”
“What kind of card is this? Does it summon a monster?”
Serafina looked at the snake bone on the card, feeling a bit confused.
Logically, when a summoner activated a monster card, they should summon the monster depicted on it.
Yet this special card didn't depict a monster at all, but rather a single snake bone.
Could it be that activating this monster card would simply summon a massive snake bone?
What would be the point of that?
What use was summoning a giant snake bone in battle? To crush the enemy to death?
Serafina let her thoughts wander, but she didn't underestimate it.
The more bizarre and special something was, the more valuable it tended to be, often possessing unique qualities that other things lacked.
This uniqueness could be power, or perhaps the significance contained within it.
Everything would have to wait until they tested it.
“Leoward, you try this card.”
Serafina tossed the Sinful Snake card toward Leoward.
Leoward hurriedly caught the card. Looking at the snake bone depicted within, he infused it with mana, connecting with the contract power inside.
The contract was established, and the summoning ritual was complete.
Leoward held the card between two fingers.
“Snake Bone of Eternal Imprisonment, summon!”
As the Summoning Blessing Mark on the back of his hand activated, the card expanded into a ripple of space and a magic circle.
Then, a massive snake bone pierced through the circle and thrust out of the ground with a thunderous boom.
The giant bone was eight or nine meters long. Aside from the section protruding from the ground, the lower half appeared as a translucent phantom.
“How is it?”
Serafina asked quickly.
Leoward sensed the card's power, his face filled with constant surprise.
“Although this snake bone cannot move, it can command the powers of water, lightning, and space.”
“Its hardness is also extraordinary.”
“I've never seen anything like this...”
“And it seems this isn't even its full form. Currently, only a quarter of its true body has been summoned.”
Since the Snake Bone of Eternal Imprisonment was only Lv. 1, its power was indeed incomplete, representing only a quarter of the entire skeleton.
What Leoward had summoned was truly just a fraction of the whole.
“You attack, and I'll test its power.”
Isolde raised his heavy shield and walked toward the snake bone.
Leoward didn't hold back. Once Isolde was ready, he activated the snake bone.
With a consumption of energy, a bolt of silver lightning erupted from the snake bone, crashing into Isolde!
The powerful impact struck the shield, and the lightning exploded upon contact, with arcs of electricity dancing continuously across the metal surface.
Isolde's body swayed, but he successfully withstood the attack.
However, immediately afterward, the hot spring water beneath Isolde was mobilized. Several Water Spears shot out, piercing toward him from all sides.
The silver arcs of electricity jumped along with the Water Spears, and a sensation of paralysis quickly spread through Isolde's entire body.
By the time the attack stopped, white smoke was rising from Isolde's armor, and the paralysis in his body had yet to fade.
“A very strong attack, and it has a paralysis effect.”
“Combined with the water manipulation, it can briefly paralyze the opponent.”
As a second-rank heavy warrior, it was naturally impossible for a Lv. 1 summon to break through Isolde's defense.
But the combination of this attack and the paralysis effect was truly alarming.
“It only used the powers of water and lightning. What about the spatial effect?”
Serafina's eyes sparkled as she asked eagerly.
Leoward tried his best to manipulate the snake bone's spatial power, only to find that at Lv. 1, there was no way to actively trigger it.
The spatial power still existed, but it could only be attached to the summoned snake bone itself.
In other words, the current spatial power of the Snake Bone of Eternal Imprisonment...
“The spatial power can only be used for defense, enhancing the bone's own durability,” Leoward said after some consideration.
“Oh?”
Serafina became interested.
“Let me test its defense.”
She drew her blade and approached the snake bone.
Facing a third-rank swordsman, Leoward didn't dare be careless. He drove the snake bone's spatial power, pushing its defense to the limit.
Serafina wasn't in a hurry to attack, simply waiting for Leoward to finish his adjustments.
“Ready.”
As the word left her lips, Serafina left behind only an afterimage and a splash of water. Holding her blade, she slashed heavily at the snake bone before her!
Sharp Sword Qi was attached to the blade as it collided with the snake bone.
A notch was instantly cut into the bone. Serafina didn't stop there; Sword Qi erupted from her blade as she slashed violently again along the gap.
A chunk of the snake bone was immediately hacked off.
Serafina was pushed back by the recoil, but the second her feet touched the ground, her figure vanished again. Following the previous notch, she split the snake bone in two.
“It actually managed to block one of my attacks. Its defense is quite high.”
Serafina sheathed her sword and stood still, giving her evaluation.
“This snake bone is indeed unusual.”
Leoward deactivated the summon, and the snake bone vanished from the spot, turning back into a card that appeared between his fingers.
“This card can both attack and defend. Although it can't move, its effects are extraordinary, far surpassing ordinary monster cards.”
“Its value is immense!”
And this was just one card.
The group couldn't help but look at the towering snake bone pillars scattered throughout the hot spring. Their eyes glowed with greed, and their breathing became shallow.
They were going to be rich!
Who cared about the Forbidden Fire? They weren't even that familiar with it! With these, who would bother chasing after the Forbidden Fire?
The power of the Forbidden Fire was undoubtedly immense, but it wasn't something they absolutely had to obtain.
A literal pile of treasure was laid out right in front of them.
Everyone looked in unison at the Sinful Snake Bone Plate in Leoward's hand.
It seemed the snake bones in this entire hot spring area needed this plate to be awakened.
They had actually managed to loot such a treasure!
What kind of luck was this!
Damn it, was the Red Rose team about to achieve its dreams and retire early?
Don't let money corrupt the dreams and will of the Red Rose team!
...Fine, go ahead and corrupt us completely!
“Leoward, how did you trigger that bone plate just now?” Serafina asked quickly.
“I just injected mana, and then it automatically...”
As Leoward spoke, he continued to pour mana into the bone plate.
Sure enough, another cluster of white light shot out from the plate, flying toward another snake bone not far away.
The eyes of everyone in the Red Rose team lit up, following the light like a pack of hungry wolves.
Then, the same thing happened once more, and another Sinful Snake of Eternal Imprisonment card appeared!
