“Floor, Create!”
Earth Vein Power surged like a rolling flood, washing into the chaotic space.
Damp soil began to expand rapidly.
Forests began to grow upon the moist earth, and water gathered into swamps, depressions, and lakes.
In the artificial sky, dark clouds gathered, casting a somber shadow over the entire floor as a continuous, fine drizzle began to fall.
The entire floor was damp and sticky, as if not a single dry spot could be found.
Mist drifted alongside the rain; within the thick fog of the forest, it felt as though man-eating monsters could leap out at any moment.
Miasma mixed with the mist, seemingly ready to steal lives away in silence.
Once the sixteenth floor was finished, Dalun Li did not stop.
“Floor, Create!”
The rolling Earth Vein Power continued to spread downward, carving out space beneath the sixteenth floor!
Even damper soil expanded within the chaos. Pitch-black clouds shrouded the sky, and torrential rain fell without pause on the seventeenth floor.
Water and miasma permeated the forest. The entire floor was covered in rotting swamps, leaving almost no solid ground for one to step on.
Miasma condensed within the rotting swamps, constantly spawning more of itself.
The entire floor was covered in rotting poisonous mud. Just touching it would likely corrode an ordinary person's skin, allowing concentrated toxins to enter their body.
The relentless torrential rain was highly acidic, eating away at the earth.
Even those wearing mana armor would find their equipment corroded and damaged while walking through this fierce acid rain.
Miasma and toxic mist shrouded the forest amidst the downpour, suppressing visibility to within five meters.
[Earth Vein Power required to create the next floor] 40,000
Having created two floors in a row, Dalun Li's accumulated Earth Vein Power was nearly exhausted.
He transferred into the new floors, feeling the powerful energy they transmitted to him.
The restlessness in his body, caused by the massive amount of fire power from the Lava Stratums, was calmed by this new energy.
While fire power was strong, it was far too volatile.
Five consecutive Lava Stratums had been a bit much even for Dalun Li to handle.
Now, the power provided by these new floors...
“Primarily plant and water attributes. Such dense water energy, and the vitality is extraordinarily thick!”
“No, wait, this vitality seems a bit off. It's filled with the power of decay.”
“This energy is truly novel!”
Dalun Li felt the new power and was very satisfied.
Although the pure power boost from these two floors couldn't match the Lava Stratums, they were more well-rounded and had broader applications.
Despite appearances, Dalun Li prided himself on winning through wisdom.
Or at least, he treated it as such.
But that wasn't the most important part. These two floors were incredibly insidious!
Dalun Li looked at the surrounding environment.
Endless acid rain, rotting poisonous swamps, and omnipresent toxic miasma!
On this floor, just exploring would cause one's equipment to be corroded and damaged.
And then, he could have the monster merchants sell new equipment.
It would corrode again, and they would sell again.
He could make an endless amount of money!
How was Dalun Li able to accumulate enough Earth Vein Power to create two floors so quickly?
It was because the policies of the Well of Eternal Imprisonment were too effective and the adventurers were too hardworking. They had lined his pockets, greatly increasing his treasure piles.
Now, his Earth Vein Power accumulation rate had reached...
[Earth Vein Power accumulation rate] 5,124.157 Earth Vein Power/day.
And that wasn't all.
Dalun Li sensed carefully and found that the ambient temperature of the entire floor was very low.
It was almost colder than the Eternal Night Desert of the Desert Stratum.
In this environment, combined with the rain and toxins, adventurers would lose body heat rapidly and be forced to expend energy to maintain their core temperature.
At the same time, they would have to contend with the rotting poisonous swamps and miasma.
“I'm still too kind. Thinking about how hot the Lava Stratums were, I immediately thought of cooling them down on this floor.”
Dalun Li sighed with emotion. He transferred between the two floors and noticed that the temperature wasn't uniform.
The temperature on the 16th floor was slightly higher than on the 17th, though it was still very cold.
“The floors get progressively colder? The deeper you go, the colder it gets?”
Dalun Li's eyes lit up.
So insidious.
I love it.
The environments of both new floors perfectly met the 'beautiful environment' standards of the Well of Eternal Imprisonment.
Creating two floors at once meant he could open two 'blind boxes' at once.
Dalun Li was quite looking forward to it.
First, he opened the blind box for the 16th floor and began to inspect it.
The first thing to check was, of course, the trees of the entire floor.
The trees on both floors were very tall and remarkably straight.
‘Perhaps I can create some little cuties that live in the trees based on this environment.’
As he scanned the trees one by one, Dalun Li couldn't help but think to himself.
After scanning all the trees, he found six giant trees, one of which was a mana-infused giant tree similar to the one on the fourth floor.
Consider that a guaranteed minimum.
Next, he inspected the ground and the underground.
Despite the swampy environment, the plant growth was quite lush.
The ground was permeated by the swamp, but he discovered two medium-sized mineral veins. They were ordinary metal mines, but they contained a small amount of mana, which should yield quite a bit of mana-infused ore.
Though the mining difficulty would be rather high.
He would later modify the terrain and create some purple-skinned blacksmiths and dwarf miners.
He continued his inspection, but found nothing else.
Dalun Li's face darkened slightly as he transferred to the 17th floor.
He found another guaranteed minimum—an even larger mana-infused giant tree—and two more mineral veins underground.
This isn't right. This can't be right.
Looking at a template nearly identical to the previous floor, Dalun Li even suspected the chaotic space was half-assing it and giving him two identical templates.
“Sigh, another mineral vein. White ore, I've never seen this before.”
“And why is it so distinct? It's all connected, growing as one massive independent piece...”
“Wait...”
The more Dalun Li probed, the more something felt off. Following the 'mineral vein' with his senses, he finally realized that this wasn't a mineral vein at all.
It was the skeleton of a super-giant creature, buried beneath the rotting poisonous swamp!
Its size was almost beyond Dalun Li's comprehension, making it impossible for him to associate it with a skeleton at first discovery!
Even the Lava Giant Tortoise created by Dalun Li looked like a tiny common turtle in front of this skeleton.
The skeleton twisted and coiled; if all the bones underground were stretched out, they would span over ten kilometers.
This was the skeleton of a giant snake!
