Chapter 62 · Volume 1

A Lower Perspective but the Same High Style—My First Loli Persona

“Wow... my field of vision got so much lower all of a sudden. Was the world always this big?”
Qimeng awkwardly stretched her short arms and legs.
Now sporting her temporary persona of Luluo, she possessed cascading silver hair paired with emerald-green eyes that resembled pure gems. Her entire being radiated a noble, natural vitality.
This disguise was absolutely flawless; even if members of her own race stood right in front of her, they wouldn't find a single flaw.
If there was anything out of place about this seemingly harmless, incredibly huggable little Wood Elf...
It was probably her eyes.
That was by no means the docile gaze of a sheltered greenhouse flower!
Deep within her pupils lay the domineering ruthlessness characteristic of wild magical beasts—the raw urge to utterly crush anything that displeased her. Yet, as a reincarnated soul who had inherited remnant memories, her eyes also maintained a profound, unshakeable tranquility that looked down upon everything with indifference.
These two contradictory traits had somehow fused within the gaze of this tiny body, exuding a chilling yet utterly captivating charm.
“Now then...”
In her loli form, Qimeng wore a mischievous smirk that completely clashed with her adorable appearance.
“Let's go take a close look and see just how much fun those green-skinned small fry can bring to this game. Hehehe.”
On the outskirts of the valley, amidst the dense woods and scattered rocks.
As far as the eye could see, there were at least a thousand dark-green-skinned lizardmen.
This vanguard force of a thousand packed the area tightly. They held steel blades, flicking their forked tongues, and the stench of mucus and sour sweat radiating from them was so foul it seemed to rot the very air.
“Hey, what's taking those two scouts so long? And we haven't heard a single thing from that red-haired demon woman who sneaked in earlier either... Could something have happened to them inside?”
A burly lizardman elite spat on the ground.
“Who knows! Tsk, we were hoping they'd get their hands on the Wood Elves' Hidden Gate spell so we could easily open the entrance. Now, without an inside agent, looks like we'll have to rely on brute force.”
“What's there to fear? The three demon lords accompanying us will definitely have a way.”
“Hey, I heard that one of those three is a demon from the 【Ogre Clan】 who possesses Herculean strength. With that kind of physical power, smashing through the broken gates of those long-ears using brute force will be a piece of cake!”
“Hehe, true enough.”
“As long as we capture those long-ears, our tribe will finally rise!”
“I heard that Wood Elves possess a special trait that allows them to find Sacred Spirits. Those pure lifeforms fetch an astronomical price in the demon territory because they can greatly extend one's lifespan through alchemy. Rumor has it that a young noble of the demon race is determined to capture these living Wood Elves to curry favor with a certain big shot.”
“Of course, the biggest share goes to the demons!”
“But, hehehe... I heard this Wood Elf clan has survived for thousands of years, so they must have plenty of hidden treasures. Plus, those tender-skinned babes of theirs would fetch top dollar in the slave markets. Once the lords take their share, we'll surely get a piece of the pie and have some fun with them, right? When the time comes...”
“Shut your mouths, all of you! Watch your attitude!”
The lizardman chief, standing over two meters tall and radiating the pressure of an Advanced Rank magical beast, suddenly turned around. The tyrannical giant lizard barked furiously at his elite subordinates.
Beside him, at some point, three figures clad in pitch-black cloaks had appeared, radiating an ominous black aura.
They were none other than the demon envoys who had accompanied the army.
“My lords, please do not mind the arrogant words of these fools.”
The lizardman chief bowed and scraped, his tail wagging obsequiously on the ground.
“As soon as you give the order, our army of a thousand is ready to flatten that forest for the demon race at any moment!”
One of the black-cloaked demons let out a cold snort. His attitude was arrogant, and he didn't even bother to spare the chief a glance.
This scene was witnessed by the low-ranking lizardmen in the back, sparking dissatisfied grumbles.
“Hey, is this a joke? Our boss is a genuine Advanced Rank magical beast, right? Why is he bowing and scraping to those three? No matter how I look at their mana reaction, they're only High-tier Intermediate Rank magical beasts at best.”
“Shh! Do you want to die?! Shut up!”
A veteran beside him quickly covered the recruit's mouth.
“What do you know? What does strength matter? Do you know whose subordinates those three lords are?! Listen carefully: they are direct confidants of the great Demon Marquis's son!”
“A Demon Marquis?! How powerful is that?” The recruit was dazed.
“They are candidates for the future Demon King, you idiot! Do you know what a Demon King candidate is? And his offspring are noble young lords in the demon race, completely out of our reach! With just a flick of their fingers, our tribe would be wiped out within ten seconds! Being a dog for such a great figure is the glory of our lizardman tribe!”
“Oh... Oh! He's the son of a future Demon King?! Then... then we definitely should be dogs! There's no shame in being a dog!”
Terrified, the recruit immediately knelt up straight on the spot.
Hearing the quiet from behind, the chief put on a fawning smile once more and spoke to the black-cloaked demons.
“Hehe, my lords, since we haven't heard from the infiltrators, should we directly...”
“No need to wait.”
One of the demons was exceptionally burly, with horns faintly visible beneath his hood. This Ogre Clan demon clenched his fists arrogantly, his palms crackling with explosive pops.
“They are merely an inferior race clinging to life. Since we can't get the Hidden Gate spell, I'll just use brute force to smash their proud Hidden Gate to smithereens...”
However, before his fist could strike.
Rustle.
Amidst the pile of fallen leaves ahead, a loli Wood Elf had appeared out of nowhere.
With a cold expression, she spoke in a mechanical, icy voice.
“Ahead lies the territory of the Wood Elves. This is your final warning. Anyone who continues to advance will be deemed an invader, and not a single one of you will escape.”
The sudden appearance startled everyone, but upon seeing that she was merely an ordinary, low-ranking Wood Elf, the lizardman chief burst into an angry laugh.
“Ha? Not a single one of us will escape? With just you long-eared trash?!”
Boom!
The Ogre Clan demon let out a tyrannical, cold snort. Not even bothering to waste words, his massive fist—like a battering ram carrying violent mana—slammed directly into the chest of the young Wood Elf girl!
The fierce gale swept away the surrounding rocks.
Yet, the expected scene of flesh and blood splattering did not occur.
Under the shocked and horrified gazes of everyone present, the Wood Elf loli pierced by the giant fist actually dissolved into a flurry of withered, yellow leaves, scattering across the ground as she vanished without a trace.
“What?! Wh-What kind of spell is this??”
“An illusion? No, even her presence has completely vanished! How is this possible?!”
The army of a thousand magical beasts fell into complete confusion.
In truth, this was merely a 【Leaf Dummy】 that Qimeng, who was sitting high up in the tree canopy taking in the entire scene, had casually created using a natural spell.
