Looking at the overall attributes, there do not seem to be any issues for now, but the focus lies in how to develop from here.
The skill tree is incredibly complex, but it generally branches out from several main stems.
Universal skills.
Special Class Skills.
Special Holy Crest Skills.
Special Demon Crest Skills.
Skills containing the word 'special' require specific classes to use, while universal skills are those that most nuns can cultivate.
This world does not restrict classes; one person can hold countless classes simultaneously, though no one can reach the max level in every single one.
If categorized from the top, they roughly fall into these types:
Support Branch — Support types, Crafting types.
Melee Branch — Weapon types, Unarmed types.
Ranged Branch — Single-target types, AoE types.
Divine Arts Branch — Summoning types, Possession types.
In the first category, support types mostly consist of auxiliary enhancement abilities like healing and invigoration.
In the crafting types, there are high-end equipment-related skills like engraving and production.
In the melee branch, weapon types refer to the use of various weapons and related skills, and the same applies to unarmed types.
In the ranged branch, it is only divided into single-target and AoE; the skills are intertwined, where some AoE types require single-target skills as prerequisites, and vice versa.
The divine arts branch has a very high starting point, requiring at least level thirty. The summoning type is similar to a summoner's ability, while the possession type allows one to stack some of a summoned creature's abilities onto themselves.
The 【Angel Descent】 skill I saw earlier, which can temporarily break the human limit of level seventy-five and reach the divine level, is the peak skill of both the summoning and possession types within the divine arts branch.
Special Holy Crest Skills and Special Demon Crest Skills exist independently, having no connection to the other branches.
The skill tree truly resembles a tree: slender at the bottom, thick in the middle, and returning to a slender point at the top.
There are only four skills positioned at the very summit:
Support Branch — Divine Word
Melee Branch — Voice of All Things
Ranged Branch — God's Punishment
Divine Arts Branch — Angel Descent
Each of these four skills is extraordinarily powerful, but right now, I have no idea which one to choose.
However, among all these skills, the one that caught my attention most was a standalone skill that drifted outside all the main branches.
【Special Class Skill — Holy-Demon Conversion (None)】
This skill has no prerequisites, but its position is in the middle of the skill tree.
It only requires a single skill point to unlock.
There is no description, no attribute data, and no prerequisite skills.
Just what kind of skill is this?
Normally, every skill has a description.
Not clicking it feels uncomfortable; my OCD is starting to flare up.
This is likely a common affliction among many gamers.
I'm not clicking it to learn it, but rather to open the skill interface and see the description inside.
But the moment I clicked it... my skill points suddenly dropped to twenty-nine.
The icon for the skill lit up simultaneously.
What the heck!
It actually activated?
I'll have you know that skill points are incredibly precious to me right now!!
I only get five skill points per level, and my entire net worth was only thirty points!
I searched for a confirmation button, but unfortunately, although this world feels very much like a game, it is not a game.
Once spent, skill points cannot be reset.
Sob, sob... (┯_┯)
If I had put them into other skills, at least I would know the effects, but this skill has absolutely no description!
My heart aches so much I want to cry.
To compensate for this heartache and to distract myself, my gaze involuntarily shifted toward the Special Holy Crest Skills.
Screw it!
I can't see the description anyway, so I'm clicking it!
With a 'whoosh,' five skill points vanished.
At the same time, a warm sensation began to circulate around my lower abdomen.
Looking down, I saw silver light flowing across my body. This light continuously moved, leaving behind patterns that I both wanted and didn't want.
The entire process only lasted about a minute.
Before I could even savor the feeling, the warmth suddenly vanished.
I hurriedly pulled open my collar to look down.
Well... despite the obstruction of two mounds of fat, I could still see the silver patterns.
And on the Special Demon Crest Skills tree next to it, an icon had actually lit up as well!
The skills on the Special Holy Crest Skills and Special Demon Crest Skills trees were almost like mirror images of each other.
In the position corresponding to the Special Holy Crest Skill I had just learned, the Special Demon Crest Skill had also unlocked.
The patterns were exactly the same, only the colors were completely different.
The base of the Holy Crest was silver, and when its power was activated, it would turn fluorescent blue.
The base of the Demon Crest was black, and when its power was activated, it would turn crimson red.
Although the Holy Crest and Demon Crest were complete opposites, the effects of the two skills were not entirely in conflict.
