After ten thousand years, it finally returned to the real world.
The past humiliations and resentments remained vivid even after ten thousand years; it could not wait to let its wrath spread to every inch of the world.
“Let disordered chaos spread from this moment forth!”
The God of Chaos spread its arms and laughed.
It was merely laughing, yet that laughter still possessed the power to influence reality. The vortex of chaos continuously devoured and expanded without end, as if it would never stop.
But mid-laugh, the God of Chaos suddenly stopped.
Someone stood not far away, leaning one hand against a floating piece of ruined wall, staring at it with burning eyes.
“You actually dare to return?” the God of Chaos said.
“Buze is dead. I'm the only one left who can stop you,” Grinya said.
She was calm. She wasn't fired up about blocking a god, nor was she frustrated or nervous. She was as calm as a pond without ripples.
In the world's darkest hour, she was the only one who stepped forward, and the only one who could.
Even if she was alone, even if her body had reached the limit of mutation, and her opponent was the God of Chaos—the strongest even among gods—she had to return.
She would rather die in the most painful way than do nothing at all.
But her resolve was nothing more than a joke to the God of Chaos.
“Stop me?” The God of Chaos chuckled.
“Even after all these years, humans haven't made a lick of progress.”
The God of Chaos shook its head in disappointment. It raised its arm, and a purple magic light flickered between its fingers, ready to annihilate Grinya's physical body at any moment. It wasn't in a hurry.
“You have one last sentence. Will you express your determination to protect this world again, or will you beg your god to save you? Come, let me hear what your final words will be,” the God of Chaos said with a sneer.
Grinya lowered her head and thought for a moment before saying, “Actually, I've been wanting to ask this since I got here.”
“Why would a god like you not wear any pants?”
The God of Chaos's sneer came to an abrupt halt.
Grinya glanced again at the naked, purple youth before her and winced.
Who would have thought? The grand God of Chaos didn't even wear pants in its true form.
Did it think no one could see its true self, so it could just be this brazen? It truly had no sense of shame!
“Those are your final words?” The God of Chaos's expression was so dark it looked like it might bleed.
Though it was a question, it gave Grinya no time to answer. In an instant, purple magic light eclipsed heaven and earth.
This was Grinya's first time seeing a god strike. She froze, forgetting how to move.
All she could see was purple light flooding her vision.
But there was no sharp pain. Instead, her brain felt a searing, stinging sensation.
She felt like something important was being lost.
She couldn't remember what it was, only that she mustn't forget it. Yet no matter how hard she tried, she couldn't grasp it.
The naked purple youth walked slowly toward her. It knelt down and leaned over, Grinya's despondent face reflected in its pupils.
Grinya was like a soulless puppet, showing no reaction.
It admired Grinya's tragic beauty, even reaching out to place a hand gently on her cheek. It felt cold yet soft.
As a cold tear slid into its palm, the purple youth looked into Grinya's hollow gray eyes, which were shimmering with tears.
“You're actually crying... Does that fellow hold such a high place in your heart?” The God of Chaos looked dissatisfied.
It had slightly modified Grinya's cognition, making her forget the god she worshiped and tricking her into believing she worshiped Chaos. To the God of Chaos's surprise, Grinya had resisted this modification with her human body.
But it didn't matter. It had only been a whim; it was just a pity to lose such an outstanding talent.
Since she was unwilling, it wouldn't force her.
Its arm moved down, gripping the back of Grinya's neck as dark purple light flickered continuously.
If it injected just a bit of “knowledge,” Grinya's body—already at its limit—would pop like a balloon in the next second.
This was the gap between humans and gods. The knowledge possessed by gods was unbearable corruption to humans.
The God of Chaos grinned, and from its palm, corrupted “knowledge” was slowly injected into the back of Grinya's neck.
Grinya's face instantly contorted. Her once beautiful body suddenly swelled and twisted irregularly, becoming hideously deformed.
Yet the God of Chaos admired its masterpiece.
Seeing that Grinya's body had reached its limit and no longer looked like that of a young girl, the God of Chaos chuckled, mimicking the sound of an explosion:
“Pop.”
Nothing happened.
The God of Chaos stared at the unharmed Grinya, slightly stunned.
“What's going on?”
The God of Chaos was bewildered. This situation was wrong—completely and utterly wrong!
Grinya's body had clearly mutated; the corruption should be irreversible. She should have popped like a balloon and turned into countless fragments.
That was the scene the purple youth had envisioned.
So why did nothing happen?!
Suddenly, Grinya—who should have exploded—emitted a brilliant golden light that shone into the God of Chaos's eyes.
The blinding light made the God of Chaos daze for a moment. It raised its arm to shield its eyes. Through the blur, it saw a white slip of paper bathed in golden light. The divinity it radiated actually suppressed the corruption of chaos at that moment!
Even the completely mutated Grinya returned to her original form, with her cognition and consciousness returning to her mind as well.
She carefully held the precious white slip of paper. She was a bit dazed, but she instinctively read the name of the paper:
“God's Perception!”
She blurted out in disbelief.
The purple youth's face turned terrifyingly dark, its distorted features as ferocious as a lion filled with hatred.
“What... exactly is this thing?!”
In the next second, the black text on the paper seemed to come to life. Like little people, the characters suddenly jumped up and flew into its eyes with lightning speed.
It was stunned, but then it realized the text wasn't dangerous, so it focused its mind to observe it.
【 Suppose f(x) is twice differentiable on [0,1], f(0)=f(1)=0, and max x∈[0,1] f(x)=1. Prove: there exists σ∈(0,1) such that f''(σ) ≤ -8 】
“W-what the hell is this stuff?”
The purple youth went blank, its consciousness scattering.
The God of Chaos's brain had overloaded and crashed.
