After transmigrating back and learning that Tina had lost her past memories, Sathya didn't want to care about or understand anything else.
She was in a state of semi-apathy, wanting nothing more than for Tina to like her.
On the surface, she maintained her image, but in truth, she had long since grown weary of everything.
It wasn't until that time in the infirmary ward, when she discovered that Sister Tina might be hiding something, that she found the motivation to keep going.
She wanted to understand Tina. She wanted to know what on earth had happened to Sister Tina to make her say such heartbreaking words to her face.
She didn't really care about the state of her magic core, even though it was indeed in terrible shape.
But that didn't mean she didn't understand it.
After the birthday party ended, she had woken up in her bedroom and found her body feeling much lighter.
Her magic core was gradually taking shape, proving that she was drawing closer to a magical beast's prime.
The difference from before was that the power of chaos was not being used to create magic.
As a result, she would be incredibly powerful.
—Yet, she couldn't remember anything about last night.
It seemed she had talked with Sister Tina alone, but everything that happened afterward had vanished as if completely erased.
Just as she was about to investigate with excitement and anticipation, Velrose threw cold water on her.
“You and Tina both fainted. Your condition was terrible, so I tried to strengthen your magic core in hopes that you would recover.”
“Where is Sister Tina?”
“She's sick... She's in the infirmary ward right now, and her condition is very bad. We are magical beasts; the aura we release is poison to humans.”
This explanation seemed reasonable, but Sathya picked up on two crucial details.
First, Tina's body had been modified by her.
Time Reversal had only changed the world; both her own body and Tina's had been brought to the present moment almost entirely unchanged.
Although Tina's constitution and strength hadn't changed much compared to when she was human, her resistance to magical beasts was stronger, she had almost one hundred percent resistance to illusion magic and curses, and it was even possible that her resistance had further enhanced after the Time Reversal spell was completed.
But that wasn't even the main thing...
Sister Tina's taste still lingered in her mouth.
Not much of that taste remained, but it was definitely a part of Tina's body.
When she thought she had lost control and almost devoured Sister Tina, she discovered that there were identical marks on Tina's lips.
Yet there was nothing on her face or around her body.
What could Sister Tina have done to leave marks only inside her mouth and on her lips?
“Sister Tina, you kissed me that day, didn't you?”
“...”
Tina's eyes flickered away for a split second. Though she quickly put on her usual indifferent and reckless front, Sathya still caught it.
“If you don't deny it, then you did.”
“I... I don't know...”
That was all Tina could say.
She didn't know how much Little Ya had figured out, nor did she know how to lie about it.
She turned her head away, avoiding Sathya's gaze.
Sathya gently held her wrist in a symbolic gesture, almost like taking her pulse. As she examined her, she said with absolute certainty, “I remember Sister Tina's taste.”
“It's sorrowful and bitter. I also know that someone is hurting you.”
With that, Sathya pressed her warm hand against Tina's face.
Her expression gradually grew strange. While still gentle, it was laced with possessiveness.
Though she didn't say it aloud, Tina knew all too well that whenever Sathya began to covet her body, she would show this kind of possessiveness.
Just like they had done in the past—familiar, intimate, and unforgettable.
“People would subconsciously resist, but you didn't, Sister Tina. Doesn't it feel... very normal to you?”
Tina shuddered.
If this went on, things would get bad!
She wasn't checking her for any illness at all—she was testing her!
She knows me too well. I can't let her keep going!
“Actually, Sister Tina, you like me a lot, don't you?”
As Sathya spoke, she bit Tina's ear. Tina's initial urge to resist instantly dissolved as her body surrendered.
For a split second, her mind went completely blank.
“Don't do this...”
“I love you. I love you so much. I want to swallow you whole.”
Calm down.
She doesn't know anything. She's only a little suspicious.
Tina remained silent, but a soft whimper escaped her lips, betraying just how embarrassed she truly was.
Sathya was like a little kitten; lying on top of Tina, she felt practically weightless.
But suddenly, Sathya gently caressed her face. The moment Tina turned her head, she was kissed.
“Mmph...”
“What... What are you doing!”
Truth be told, the feeling was comforting and nostalgic.
Through just this simple contact, she could understand exactly what emotions were being conveyed.
She even slipped in her tongue...
But Tina didn't even have a chance to refuse!
Sathya was too cunning. How could she have thought of doing this?! No, wait... was she simply unable to hold back?
“I... I was too impulsive, Sister Tina. If you want to scold me, go ahead.” She apologized.
But she wasn't done.
She reached out to touch Tina's face again, gently wiping away the tears at the corners of her eyes.
“Don't cry. I'm sorry... I won't do it again.”
“I'm sick and feeling terrible, yet you're still bullying me,” Tina immediately shot back, glaring at her fiercely. “And I'm not crying.”
At those words, guilt and apology washed over Sathya's face, and she actually let go of her.
Suddenly, Tina felt a surge of energy spread from her throat throughout her entire body.
It was a burning-hot energy, yet it miraculously caused Tina's entire body to relax and grow heavy.
It felt like dragging a weary body out of a bath, only to be wrapped in a warm mattress and blanket, a deep drowsiness instantly washing over her mind.
Sure enough, Little Ya knew this body belonged to her.
“This is for the best.”
It was as if what just happened had never occurred, but the lingering warmth on her body told Tina it was no illusion.
Sathya sat on the chair beside the bed, looking down at her with keen interest.
Meanwhile, Tina was already too sleepy to keep her eyes open.
“What did you do to me?”
“Go to sleep, Sister Tina. You need rest.”
Tina also realized that this wasn't just ordinary drowsiness. She could feel her physical strength returning as her body entered an accelerated “self-repair” mode. The energy within her was being consumed at a rapid rate to mend her injuries, which was why she felt so sleepy.
Sathya had just flipped that “switch” inside her body.
In this state, Tina couldn't offer any resistance whatsoever.
She could only blame Sathya for knowing her body too well.
“The academy will be very dangerous tomorrow. This is the safest place. Don't worry, Sister Tina, I'll stay with you the entire time.”
Tina only felt her body growing heavier and heavier. Before her eyes closed completely, the last image she saw was Sathya's smile.
