The exploration team had rated these seven newly discovered dungeons as medium-level.
However, because the scouting had been rushed and done in a simple manner, there were concerns about potential discrepancies. It was deemed better for a powerful Class Holder to handle the conquest.
Therefore, the Daxia officials chose Chen Xu.
After his performance in previous dungeon conquests, his success in support missions, and his involvement in the dragon-slaying plan, Chen Xu’s strength was now considered top-tier by the Daxia authorities.
Although he had only recently completed his class change and his experience in dungeon raiding was negligible compared to the older generation of Class Holders, the overwhelming army of skeletons he commanded was a sight no one who had seen it could ever forget.
During the Black Anomaly dungeon, students on the fortress had recorded videos and posted them on the Class Holder forums. The sight of that vast, ocean-like army of skeletons had instantly set the forums ablaze.
A few veteran Necromancers had even tried to debunk it, claiming the videos were nothing more than AI-generated special effects. They even attacked the original posters, saying that Fuxi's processing power was being wasted by people with nothing better to do.
The two sides had traded hundreds of posts until more videos surfaced and numerous members of the Hurricane Warband, under Wu Houde’s direction, spoke up to verify the footage.
Only then did the public realize that a genius had emerged in the world of Necromancers—one whose skeletons were numerous enough to simply steamroll through dungeons.
"Xuan Chu, Bone Guard One is still busy building the new city, so you will lead the undead army this time."
"To be safe, we will steamroll through them one by one rather than splitting up."
Having learned from the Green Calamity, Chen Xu believed Tang Hezhou would not be so careless again, but even a lion uses its full strength when hunting a rabbit.
Since there were no KPIs to meet and no deadlines, Chen Xu could conquer these dungeons at his own pace.

As he entered the first dungeon, he found himself surrounded by familiar mountain forests.
Checking the data provided by Tang Hezhou, the primary monsters noted in Dungeon No. 1 were still goblins.
"I guess this is what they call staying true to your roots."
Chen Xu’s first dungeon after his debut had been against goblins.
Now that he had achieved some measure of success, he was back to fighting them again.
With a wave of his hand, he summoned the undead army and his skeleton heroes, handing command over to Xuan Chu to conquer the dungeon.
He then returned to the Land of the Undead, preparing to receive the inherited knowledge of the Lord of the Undead.
Inside the master bedroom of the Overlord's Castle, Chen Xu sat cross-legged on the bed, focusing his mind as he sank into the depths of his soul.
Deep within his soul, inside the origin of the Lord of the Undead, a spark of light exploded. A surging torrent of knowledge flowed out, pouring directly into Chen Xu’s mind.
It took a full half-day for Chen Xu to recover from the baptism of that massive influx of inherited knowledge.
"Phew."
Chen Xu opened his eyes and let out a long breath.
"So, this is the path of the Lord of the Undead."
Through the inherited knowledge, Chen Xu learned of a deeply hidden secret within the myriad worlds.
The ultimate goal pursued by all living beings in the myriad worlds was to become the Eternal Singular.
All beings sought the Dao to strengthen themselves, and the Eternal Singular represented the absolute peak of the Dao.
The Dao was birthed and manifested by worlds, allowing living beings to comprehend it. Thus, in ancient times, those who attained the Dao were mostly creatures from within those worlds.
This continued until one day, several worlds moved toward an extreme path for various reasons.
Those worlds abandoned balance and chose to focus solely on a single path.
From then on, the six special worlds emerged one after another: Hell, Heaven, the Sea of Spirit, the Land of the Undead, the Elemental Spirit Realm, and the Blank Zone.
A world itself is the closest existence to the Dao, but the balance of the Great Dao usually makes it merely a special vessel rather than something born with the Dao attained.
However, because these special worlds broke that balance and focused on a single path, they directly became the peak of that Dao—the only one in the myriad worlds.
The six special worlds were all instances of a World Will attaining the Dao. People called this path the World Lord.
When a living being attained the Dao, people called them a Dao Lord.
Initially, everyone was happy about the emergence of new paths, as more paths meant a greater possibility of attaining the Dao.
That was until the day Hell revealed its fangs.
Leading its wicked hell army, it tore through surrounding worlds and devoured them one by one.
This was only the beginning. After devouring nearby worlds, Hell searched throughout the boundary sea for other worlds while also creating special creatures known as Hell Archdukes.
The Hell Archdukes could devour worlds on behalf of Hell. After returning, they would offer the devoured world's energy back to Hell.
This was the first time the world had seen such a brutal Eternal Singular.
In just ten thousand years, hundreds of worlds were devoured by Hell. Using the energy from these consumed worlds, Hell moved even faster through the boundary sea and created even more Hell Archdukes.
Many worlds were under threat.
At this point, the Dao Lords who had attained their status as living beings could no longer sit idly by.
They formed an alliance and began a crusade against Hell.
That war lasted for ten thousand years, and neither side could overcome the other.
Outside of Hell, the Dao Lords held the absolute advantage. But inside Hell, the path of Hell suppressed all other paths to the point of suffocation.
Without entering Hell, they could not break its Dao, and the battlefield fell into a stalemate.
Because of Hell’s actions, all Dao Lords became wary, and the other special worlds also came under scrutiny.
Fortunately, it did not take long for the Dao Lords to discover that only Hell was aggressive. The other special worlds were quite indifferent.
The Land of the Undead, in particular, was exceptionally friendly toward the Dao Lords.
It often invited them into its world to sit and discuss the Dao.
The Dao Lords would speak of how living beings attained the Dao, while the Land of the Undead shared how a world attained it.
It even offered strategies and ideas to help the Dao Lords intercept Hell.
In this context, the relationship between the two sides warmed up rapidly, and they discussed almost everything.
This lasted until a Dao Lord who had attained the Dao through the soul discovered something was wrong with the Land of the Undead and investigated further.
Only then was it revealed that the Land of the Undead had befriended the Dao Lords to research a new path.
It wanted to use its body as a world to walk the path of a living being attaining the Dao.
This discovery made the Dao Lords shudder. A World Lord was already troublesome enough. If it could also attain the Dao as a living being, combining two paths into one, would it not be invincible across all worlds?
The friendly relationship shattered instantly. The Dao Lords devised a plan. During a subsequent discussion of the Dao, they laid a massive trap, which ultimately led to the current state of the Lord of the Undead.
Due to the Dao Lords' scheme, when the Land of the Undead attempted to attain the Dao as a living being, a hidden trigger activated, causing the World Will to collapse.
While the World Will dissipated, the attainment of the Dao as a living being was successfully completed. Since there was no living will to receive the Dao, that path transformed into a Bone Throne, situated at the highest point of the Land of the Undead.
From that moment, the most unique Dao Lord position in the myriad worlds, the Lord of the Undead, was born.
This vacant path would automatically distribute its authority, merging it into other living beings. Any being favored by this authority could reach the absolute peak in a single step and become the supreme Eternal Singular, provided they killed all other competitors and ascended the Bone Throne.
The Dao Lords could not fully understand this phenomenon, so they manipulated the birth of the Lord of the Undead several times to study this unique position.
However, no one ever truly understood it. This interference also earned them the hatred of successive generations of the Lord of the Undead.
Even though this Eternal Singular was unique, they were still a genuine Eternal Singular. Their strength was not inferior to other Dao Lords, and because they had a special world as their foundation, their power ran even deeper.
Having understood everything, Chen Xu also found his future path.
To even qualify for the competition for the Lord of the Undead, one had to at least reach the mythic-tier.
Once that tier was reached, it would become a cruel, life-or-death struggle among the various competitors.
"I need to reach mythic-tier first, then use the methods in the inheritance to find the competitor closest to me!"
