Chapter 327 · Volume 1

Cosmic Undead Maintaining Peace Across Myriad Worlds

Inside the transport ship of Wanbao Pavilion, Boss watched the rapidly spreading extreme ice stop just a centimeter from his nose, and the heart hanging in his throat finally settled with a sigh of relief.
The mere icy aura emanating from the frost made Boss feel chilled to the bone from head to toe. This was even after he had subconsciously activated his divine power to protect his body.
Is this the strength of the Eternal tier? It is truly terrifying.
When he saw even Bone Guard One and the other undead being frozen, Boss thought he would be caught in Sindragosa's technique as well.
Fortunately, this shivering extreme cold stopped just in time and did not continue to spread, sparing the Wanbao Pavilion fleet from being frozen as well.
They were not undead; every employee of Wanbao Pavilion was a living, breathing being.
Mortal flesh was not as resilient as skeletons. If they were touched by even a sliver of such terrifying cold, they would not escape death.
For a moment, this newly ascended God of Trade had thought Chen Xu wanted to deepen the necrotic brand on Wanbao Pavilion.
He feared Chen Xu might use the collateral damage of war to wipe out Wanbao Pavilion and convert them all into undead.
Though he, Boss, and his Wanbao Pavilion had joined the Land of the Undead and pledged loyalty to Chen Xu, the Lord of the Undead...
It wasn't like they had to become undead. In the sales industry, looks and charisma were still very important.
If a bunch of skeletons went out to do sales, no matter how famous Wanbao Pavilion was, customers would still feel a bit uncomfortable.
Luckily, this world-ending cold had stopped, allowing the divine core thumping wildly in Boss's chest to calm down.
Behind Boss, the ordinary employees of Wanbao Pavilion had a different experience.
They simply felt that this world-destroying move was incredibly cool. In less than a few seconds, a massive star system had been frozen into a single block of ice.
It was an eye-opening experience for these merchants who rarely had combat experience.
Meanwhile, the live broadcast from the hundreds of signal ships was equally explosive.
This was an Eternal-tier battle. While battles happened often, broadcasts did not.
In factions led by Dao Lords, battles of this level would never be released for outsiders to watch.
...
Heaven, the Source of Light.
The Lord of Heaven stood before a pool of golden spring water. The reflection in the water showed the battle in the Turbulent Zone.
“Heh, this generation's successor of the undead is truly remarkable. Wisdom, what do you think?”
Behind the Lord of Heaven, an angel wearing loose cotton robes stepped forward and replied.
“My Lord, the strength displayed by those skeletons far exceeds their own realm. The starlight reflected from the Land of the Undead seems to be able to buff the undead.”
“Furthermore, even an Eternal-tier bone dragon can be enhanced by that starlight. That ice ring that froze the star system is definitely not a move that bone dragon could perform on its own.”
“This Lord of the Undead likely possesses some kind of talent for strengthening subordinates, and a very domineering one at that.”
The Lord of Heaven nodded, acknowledging the Wisdom Priest's deduction.
“Dominance is good. The more domineering the undead are, the better. That fellow in Hell has very little sanity left; it needs someone domineering to slap it awake.”
“I don't want to face a mindless, mad beast alone.”
After speaking, the Lord of Heaven fell into silence again. After a while, he looked at the signal ships in the Wanbao Pavilion fleet and suddenly turned to the Wisdom Priest behind him.
“Pass down my divine oracle. Mobilize the power of the Heavenly Pantheon to help our undead friend publicize this war of justice triumphing over evil.”
“Beyond our territory, try to mobilize other regions as well.”
“Since this young man wants to play a part in the struggle against Hell, how can I not lend a hand?”
“As you command.”
...
In the Turbulent Zone, Sindragosa began to manipulate the surrounding extreme cold to converge on the three Eternal-tier enemies.
The ice in other areas gradually melted, leaving only three massive ice blocks, each a hundred meters wide.
The three Eternal-tier beings inside the blocks were still struggling desperately, trying to break the seal and escape the restraint.
However, Sindragosa's strength was not that of an ordinary Eternal-tier. When she ascended, she had done so using both the Dao of Extreme Cold and the Dao of the Dragon God.
Combined with the starlight enhancement and her own buff as the King of the Brood, she was not someone three ordinary Eternal-tier pirates could hope to challenge.
Originally, Sindragosa had wanted to use a single Frost Breath to freeze these pirates' souls and bodies into statues.
But Chen Xu had ordered her to only restrain them and not harm their lives, so she had to change her move at the last second.
In the void, another spatial gate opened. A massive Beholder first poked its head out, followed by a long skeletal leg, revealing Tal Rasha's form.
“Tsk, tsk, tsk. These three ice crystals are practically works of art. Lady Sindragosa's strength is growing ever more powerful.”
Tal Rasha first complimented Sindragosa before getting to work.
With a flick of his right hand, a soul whip covered in thorns appeared in his grasp.
“Crack! Crack! Crack!”
Tal Rasha swung the long whip, giving each of the three ice crystals a lash.
The three Eternal-tier souls being whipped felt as if multiple eyes had grown upon their souls, and their spirits seemed to slip from their control.
The fear of their souls being polluted spread rapidly, making the three Eternal-tier pirates struggle even more violently.
The previously stable ice crystals actually began to show slight cracks.
Seeing this, Sindragosa opened her dragon maw, preparing to release a Frost Breath to reinforce the seal.
But Tal Rasha was faster. The long whip in his hand lashed out continuously, its dark red afterimages tracing the shape of a thorny black rose in the void.
Every time the soul whip landed, the whipped Eternal-tier pirate would let out a wail. These miserable screams actually pierced through the seal of the ice crystals and spread outward into the star system.
Tal Rasha whipped rhythmically, his skeletal form beginning to dance to the sound of the wails. The Beholder corpse he led with his other hand became his dance partner, creating a bizarre performance in the void.
At this, Sindragosa frowned. She unobtrusively shifted her massive dragon body to block the view of this eerie skeletal dance, preventing the Nephalems below from seeing it.
As if noticing Sindragosa's movement, Tal Rasha raised his whip high and swung it in a final circle, whipping all three pirates at once.
The dance concluded. Tal Rasha looked around and bowed toward all four directions before leading the Beholder back to the Undead Dao Court.
As for the Eternal-tier pirates inside the three ice crystals, their souls were now filled with boundless agony after that round of whipping.
Until the pain dissipated, they would be unable to make any movement.
Sindragosa glanced at Tal Rasha's departing back, her eyes narrowing slightly as if in thought.
Then, with a flick of her dragon tail, she swatted the three ice crystals toward the Wanbao Pavilion fleet.
A blue light flashed, and Sindragosa appeared above the Wanbao Pavilion fleet, catching the three ice crystals gently with her tail.
She lowered her head and looked at Boss.
“Boss, my Lord orders you and your fleet to take these three ice crystals containing the sealed space pirates and make a circuit along your trade route.”
“Finally, return to the City of Miracles and display these three ice crystals there to showcase the prestige of the undead.”
“The Undead! Are a force of justice!”
