Saint Tears Contract

The Saint Tears Contract originated from a story within Heaven's mythological system.

Legend has it that long, long ago, Heaven had a very famous female believer named Sara.

Sara was a cleric who mastered Saint Light spells and followed Heaven's expeditionary forces across the Myriad Worlds to combat Hell.

During an exploration mission, Sara's squad was ambushed by demons from Hell, and the team suffered heavy casualties.

Just then, a prince riding a heavy-armored warhorse charged out, rescuing Sara and several of her teammates from the demonic encirclement.

The subsequent story was not the cliché of a hero saving a damsel in distress, where the two fall in love.

Instead, it was a brutal tale of civilization slaughter. Hell's retaliation came incredibly fast; Sara had barely left that world to report the mission when the catastrophe struck.

A Hellgate descended, and a demonic army surged out. In an instant, all life was plunged into misery.

By the time Sara returned with her teammates, that world was left with nothing but the prince and his personal guard.

Seeing this purgatory-like devastation, Sara believed her squad was the reason this innocent world had suffered Hell's massacre.

The kind-hearted girl shed tears of remorse, and the believer's repentance reached the Lord of Heaven.

The Lord of Heaven cast his gaze down. Saint Light pierced through the world's barriers and arrived in that world. The demonic army was scorched into ash by the Saint Light, and the Hellgate collapsed instantly under its radiance.

In response to his devout believer, the Lord of Heaven mixed Sara's tears with Saint Light to form a brand-new contract: the Saint Tears Contract.

Signatories of the Saint Tears Contract can receive Heaven's assistance to fight Hell together. Most importantly, the Saint Tears Contract does not require the other civilization to believe in Heaven, nor does it limit the rank of the powerhouses involved.

Of course, all this information came from Heaven's propaganda. Chen Xu maintained a reserved attitude toward the credibility of a promotional story from a religious faction.

However, the effects of the Saint Tears Contract were very real.

Simply put, the Saint Tears Contract was a pact between two civilizations, specifically one involving war. Both parties to the contract were required to strike at Hell's armies together.

This was a necrotic archduke. The words of a necrotic archduke very likely represented the Land of the Undead behind him.

If Heaven and the Land of the Undead could reach a contract to face the threat of Hell together, their chances of victory would increase significantly.

The news Chen Xu brought earlier had made Alifa extremely wary of Hell, causing even his eternal-tier soul to ripple.

As the name was written, the contract page flashed with a white light. Then, the page split smoothly down the middle into two halves. One half returned to Alifa's secret tome, while the other transformed into a physical page and landed on the table.

“Mr. Chen Xu, the contract is complete. According to the terms, Heaven Trade will be open to you. If you have any needs, you can initiate a request through the cross-world communication system built into this platinum cross.

As for transactions, Heaven accepts bartering or Battle Merit Points, which can be exchanged using trophies taken from demons.”

Alifa activated the secret tome again, and a platinum cross flew out, landing before Chen Xu. This secret tome, besides recording and preserving contracts, actually had a storage function.

Chen Xu picked up the platinum cross, looked at it briefly, and then turned to Alifa. “Mr. Alifa, could you give me a few more? Besides the necrotic archduke, this Blue Star is also considered my territory.”

A beam of Saint Light descended from above, and a ten-winged angel wearing battle armor and holding a longsword stepped out from it.

“Lord Alifa.”

Alifa pointed at Chen Xu and said to Wol, “This is Necrotic Archduke Chen Xu. From now on, he will be our Saint Tears Ally. I will be returning to Heaven soon; during this period, you will lead the Heavenly expeditionary forces to campaign against the demons alongside Mr. Chen Xu.”
