Chapter 157 · Volume 1

I've Held It In For So Long, and You Come to Deliver Yourself?

“Normal?”
Hearing Assistant Lin's words, the reporters couldn't help but twitch their lips.
“You call this normal?!”
“Qingping Academy has really been whipped into shape by Bai Feifei. They actually think this is normal now.”
Assistant Lin looked at the training hall, which now resembled a demolition site, feeling utterly helpless.
However, she had been prepared. Yesterday, Ye Yu and the others had approached her, saying they wanted to try and touch their invincible combat instructor one last time before departing.
For this, they might need to damage the venue, using everything from bombs to weapons.
Their families would cover the costs for the subsequent renovations...
Looking at the state of the building, the reporters felt that going inside might be dangerous.
But considering their pursuit of a hot story, they gritted their teeth and went in anyway.
...
Inside the training hall, dust and smoke filled the air.
“Go! Everyone, this is our last chance!”
Ye Yu's roar echoed through the hall. Her iron whip lashed out like a dragon, her eyes burning with an unyielding fire.
Over twenty students from the Elite Class pounced from all directions simultaneously.
Bai Feifei stood in the center of the field, her ruler dancing so fast it formed an impenetrable barrier.
Their recent training had completely transformed these students. Their movements were no longer flashy; every strike aimed for vital spots, making them ruthless, hardened warriors.
But a gap was still a gap.
Bai Feifei's figure threaded through the crowd, her movements clean and sharp, like a dance rehearsed a thousand times.
Whether it was weapons or bodies, nothing could get close to her.
Thanks to these students, even though she hadn't faced any aberrations in a long time, she still maintained an extremely high level of combat readiness.
Ye Yu seized the opportunity to sneak up from behind. Gripping half of her iron whip, she lashed it toward Bai Feifei's lower back.
Without even turning her head, Bai Feifei backhanded her wrist with the ruler.
“Ah!” Ye Yu cried out in pain, but she gritted her teeth and didn't retreat. Instead, she threw her entire body forward.
She grabbed Bai Feifei's arm.
Just like that.
Everyone froze.
Clinging to Bai Feifei, Ye Yu stared blankly, seemingly unable to believe it herself.
“I... I touched you?!”
Bai Feifei looked at her, the corners of her mouth curling up slightly.
“Yes, you won.”
Ye Yu was reluctant to let go, panting heavily. Then, a radiant smile bloomed on her face, as if she had received the most satisfying reward.
She looked up at Bai Feifei and said with a laugh:
“Hehe, I finally touched you!”
The surrounding students collapsed to the ground, utterly exhausted.
Yet, everyone was smiling. Had they really done it?
The training hall was in ruins. One wall had collapsed, the floor was cratered, half of the light fixtures hung from the ceiling, and loose wires sparked as they dangled.
The entire structure tilted precariously, looking as if it might collapse completely at any moment.
“You tore it down quite thoroughly,” Bai Feifei remarked flatly as she surveyed the surroundings.
“Remember the feeling of this victory. I hope you continue to win in the upcoming Graduation Show.”
After offering her words of encouragement, Bai Feifei turned and walked toward the door.
“Pack your things. Get ready to depart!”
In her mind, Xu Mo spoke in a rather sarcastic tone:
“Oh? You're quite the smooth talker, aren't you? Using tricks to win her heart at the very end.”
“Don't tell me you didn't go easy on her. If you didn't, then you're just too useless.”
Bai Feifei: ...
Putting aside the fact that the Old-Timer was an Evil God capable of destroying the world, she had developed quite a resistance to his trash talk by now.
Outside the training hall, the reporters watched the precariously tilted building as its doors swung open, and Bai Feifei stepped out.
Behind her, the students of the Elite Class filed out.
They were covered in bruises, their clothes in tatters, and some even limped.
Yet somehow, these disheveled young people exuded an aura that sent shivers down one's spine.
It was obvious that the students of Qingping Academy were different from those of other academies now!
It wasn't the usual bluster put on by the young masters and ladies of the Inner City, but a wild, beast-like ferocity that seeped from their very bones.
The reporters exchanged glances, but in the next second, they all surged forward!
“Teacher Bai! The dean of Yaoguang Academy publicly stated yesterday that they will definitely crush Qingping Academy in this Graduation Show. What is your take on this?”
“Also, the spokesperson for United Pharmaceuticals said that the North District is no ordinary place, and students going without potions is suicide. Do you have any response to that?”
Questions were thrown at her one after another.
Bai Feifei frowned, unsure of how to answer, and simply walked straight toward the armored vehicle parked at the entrance.
Suddenly, Ye Yu dashed ahead of Bai Feifei and snatched the microphone, allowing Bai Feifei to board the vehicle first.
“Crush Qingping? Let them try!”
“Having won this once today, there's no way I'll ever lose again!”
With that, she pushed the camera away and hopped onto the vehicle in high spirits.
The reporters stood frozen in place for a long while.
Finally, someone muttered:
“Tsk, how did this batch of Qingping students end up with the exact same attitude as Bai Feifei...”
...
The armored vehicle drove down the road, eventually stopping before a massive high wall.
The guards at the wall inspected their credentials, saluted, and the heavy iron gates slowly ground open.
Bai Feifei watched the scenery outside the window transform from the bustling streets of the Inner City to the dilapidated transition zone, and then to the dusty Outer City.
It looks so familiar...
Once they entered the actual North District of the Outer City, the sky seemed to change abruptly.
It felt as if something were pressing down from above, blocking out the sunlight.
The buildings on both sides of the road were reduced to crumbling ruins, their walls overgrown with dark red vines. Debris and the rusted carcasses of abandoned vehicles littered the ground.
The students opened their eyes one by one, peering out of the windows.
“Wow...” someone couldn't help but exclaim.
These sheltered kids from the Inner City had never seen such a harsh and desolate sight.
Remembering that Bai Feifei was originally from the Outer City, Ye Yu couldn't help but steal a few more glances at her.
Just then, a road barrier suddenly appeared ahead.
Several people in Scavenger uniforms stood in the middle of the road, holding batons.
The leader was a burly bald man with a fierce, scarred face, a cigarette dangling from his mouth.
“Get out of the vehicle!”
Before the driver could even speak, the bald man yanked the door open.
“This is the North District, and it's different from the other Outer City districts. If you don't want to die, follow my orders!”
Although these men wore Scavenger uniforms, they looked more like bandits.
“Hurry up! Don't fucking drag your feet!”
“Who is your leading instructor? How the fuck do you teach your students?! With this kind of reaction speed, you're all just fucking coming to the North District to die, aren't you?”
The leader walked up to the door, spewing profanity, spit flying everywhere.
He slammed his baton heavily against the vehicle as he cursed.
Bai Feifei frowned. Having grown up in the slums of the South District, she wasn't entirely sure what made the North District so special.
To think they would dare speak to a vehicle from the Inner City like this.
However, in her mind, Xu Mo recognized the man at a single glance.
Isn't this fucking guy the head of the North District? The one whose rank is on par with Wan Qianhong!
Although he didn't have a deep impression of such a minor character, he still remembered... this guy's last name was Xu!
“Heh, alright, buddy. I've been holding back for so long, and you're just delivering yourself to me?”
