Anya!

Xu Xiaoyou composed herself.

She saw mockery in the brown bear's small eyes.

Perhaps it was no longer hungry after finishing its meal.

And no one was barking orders at it anymore.

But it simply wanted to kill her, enjoying the thrill of torturing its prey.

Such pure malice.

In this battle between human and beast, she knew only one would survive.

The brown bear pounced again.

Xu Xiaoyou maneuvered around it.

The two of them engaged in a chase of life and death across the arena.

From time to time, Xu Xiaoyou would turn and hurl a fireball. It wasn't enough to harm the bear, only briefly halting its advance.

Even for a grade 2 fixer, unless they were a troll or an ogre known for their strength, it would be nearly impossible to contend with this bear head-on without a firearm as their mimicry weapon.

She was currently only on the verge of becoming a grade 2 fixer; it would still take some time before she could condense a mimicry.

With her current combat power, trying to stand against this brown bear alone was simply too difficult...

She didn't know how long the chase had lasted.

As the final fireball condensed in Xu Xiaoyou's hand, she turned and threw it. The explosive flare forced the bear back half a step.

Xu Xiaoyou shook her head slightly.

Her vision was beginning to blur.

Her consciousness felt as though it were being torn apart, sending waves of sharp pain through her mind.

Her rapid, shallow breaths made her lungs feel like they were on fire.

Enduring the aching soreness in her arms, she raised her long sword.

Repeatedly using Fireball Bombardment had nearly exhausted her mental energy. She had a premonition that if she forcibly condensed the elements again, she would suffer a backlash from the impact and pass out immediately.

Almost entirely relying on Scatter and Bolt! to evade the brown bear's attacks, she had nearly reached the current limits of this body.

Sweat dripped down her cheek and onto the ground.

"Roar!!!"

The brown bear still had inexhaustible stamina; the previous chase was mere child's play to it.

It bellowed, charging toward Xu Xiaoyou once more.

Xu Xiaoyou instinctively tried to dodge, but her head suddenly felt as if it had been struck by a heavy hammer, followed by a violent, piercing pain.

A bloody slit appeared on her cheek, and the dark red eye within snapped open.

Not good...

She felt a sense of impending doom.

With her mental energy depleted and her consciousness fading, the Gaze of Spiritual Vision was showing signs of losing control!

Itching sensations spread across her entire body as dense, bloody slits emerged on her skin.

"Child..."

The calling of that heart echoed in her ears.

"My child..."

In her daze, she seemed to see those opening and closing blood-red maws again.

They were calling to her.

If she truly lost control, she would likely turn into a monster just like that man.

She was forced to divert some of her mental focus to suppress the eye, holding her sword horizontally in front of her.

But the bear would not give her the chance. The air shrieked as its powerful, massive paw swiped toward her face!

The howling of the beast, the cheers from the surroundings, the whispers in her ears.

Xu Xiaoyou's mind felt like a chaotic mess.

She grit her teeth and squeezed a single command through the gaps:

"Get out."

The girl before the bear suddenly transformed into a monster. Countless dark red, maddened, and lust-filled eyes opened from every inch of her skin, staring intently at the bear.

A suffocating fear and oppression made the brown bear tremble instinctively, and its descending claws slowed for a fraction of a second.

Ultimately, Xu Xiaoyou took the hit solidly. She was sent flying, slamming straight into a stone pillar.

Agonizing pain flooded her mind.

She felt several of her bones snap.

Heaving for breath, she didn't focus on the bear. Instead, she concentrated all her mental strength to fight the voices in her ears.

"Child..."

"Become my child!"

"Shut up!"

The brown bear didn't understand what had happened to the girl or why her body had changed like that, but its predator instincts told it that its prey was at its weakest moment!

It lunged forward, reaching the girl in an instant and raising its massive paws high.

A split second before those powerful bear paws could crush the girl's head, Xu Xiaoyou suddenly looked up. The bloody slits across her body snapped shut, and the eyes vanished.

She was smiling.

Though the smile was battered and weary, it still gave the bear a sense of immense danger.

"Anya!" Xu Xiaoyou barked.

Before the bear could react, a white figure pounced from the darkness. Like a cannonball, it slammed into the bear's spine. The powerful impact actually sent the massive beast flying!

Under the watchful eyes of the crowd, Anya's eyes were bloodshot, and her aura was frantic.

Even Xu Xiaoyou had rarely seen Anya looking so furious and ferocious.

It was as if she wanted to swallow them all alive.

The entire venue was stunned.

They thought the girl would be killed in the next moment, but this little thing had suddenly lunged out from nowhere, and its strength was even greater than the bear's!

"Who is this guy?"

"I don't know, she just rushed out suddenly."

"Well done."

Xu Xiaoyou leaned her head against the stone pillar, feeling a sense of relief.

From the moment this death match began, she had issued a command to Anya through the character card. She had been stalling for time and maneuvering around the bear, finally lasting until Anya arrived.

"Roar..."

The blow had been heavy. Even with the bear's physique, it was now shaking its head constantly, swaying as it walked like a drunkard.

Once it saw the person who had just attacked it, fury rose within it. It let out another roar and pounced forward.

"Anya, pry its mouth open for me," Xu Xiaoyou said.

Anya nodded and activated her Moon Frenzy state.

With a slight burst of power from her legs, she shot forward. The frontal impact nearly flipped the bear over.

Her small frame exploded with incredible power, forcibly stopping the bear in its tracks and preventing it from advancing even an inch!

She extended her claws, digging them into the bear's jaw and prying it open by force.

Feeling the searing pain, the bear roared, trying to swing its claws to swat the girl away. But under that ferocious gaze, it couldn't muster even a hint of resistance.

Cowardice made it want to turn and flee, but hindered by Anya's strength, it couldn't move forward or backward. Its entire body seemed imprisoned in an invisible gallows.

It watched helplessly as the blonde girl dusted off her clothes and walked up to it.

At this moment, it finally tasted the flavor of mortal terror.

Looking at the bear's eyes, which seemed to be pleading for mercy, a cold light flashed in Xu Xiaoyou's gaze.

As expected, she did not like this kind of creature.

Several scrap metal cards appeared between her fingertips simultaneously.

Before everyone present, she reached her hand into the bear's gaping maw.

The bear's massive body was suddenly propped up, becoming angular as if countless objects had appeared out of thin air inside its body.

The mountain-like figure collapsed with a crash. After a slight twitch, it stopped breathing in an instant.

Xu Xiaoyou said nothing, casting a cold, indifferent glance at the bear.

She had given it a quick death after all.

Behind the floor-to-ceiling glass, that figure still watched the scene coldly.

"Anya, move," Xu Xiaoyou said suddenly.

Fire condensed in her palm. Just as the third stone gate began to rise, the scorching fireball, carrying a wave of heat, went whistling upward. It shattered the entire glass pane and blasted the figure away!

Inside the room, the dismantlers stared blankly at the figure that had appeared out of nowhere, looking exactly like the girl below.

Without a word, she walked to the control console and pressed the lift platform button.
