Under a certain theory, all fundamental units of physics lose their meaning, as everything is constructed from a single god string particle.
Everything in the universe, whether perceivable or unperceivable, is formed by this string particle crisscrossing through time and space.
This string particle can travel through all parts of spacetime like a needle, appearing billions of times per second at the location of the previous moment, filling every fold of spacetime with a power that surpasses the gods;
Using its own shadow and the concave surfaces of spacetime to constitute all the stars in the universe, its true self constantly chases its own shadow within the folded dimensions, miraculously creating this world.
Analogous to this madness, she was moving at a speed beyond human cognition, making herself in a sense omnipresent, easily destroying the security systems that Northern Bank so prided itself on!
Mr. Screws was unwilling to admit it, and dared not admit it.
The only reason the Sky Eye system could detect the opponent was due to a momentary whim.
All of Asgard entered a state of wartime readiness, air raid sirens echoing above the city, their piercing wails cutting through the silent night.
Citizens startled from their deep sleep had not yet figured out what was happening before receiving emergency evacuation texts stating that the city might face a devastating attack.
Seven seconds into the invasion, Sector D4 fell completely, and security forces lost contact one by one.
Eight seconds into the invasion, Sector A3 collapsed like silt, a steaming cup of coffee appeared on a desk in Sector B2, and the blade-dancer girls in Sector C1 had their limbs intertwined like a tangled ball of yarn.
The barrels of machine gun towers were twisted into pretzels, titans were reduced to worthless scrap metal, and dismantled parts were piled into small hills in the bank's plaza.
That deep-blue-colored madwoman was leisurely playing Serenade on a priceless antique piano, trimming the plants in the garden, and writing a romantic love letter to place in the palm of a teenage girl.
Nine seconds into the invasion.
"Warning, the target has breached..."
The feeble alarm voice came to an abrupt halt.
The world returned to silence.
It was not because the intruder had finally been eliminated.
It was because all of Northern Bank's security forces had been completely destroyed, including one hundred and thirty-nine defense systems—the Sky Eye system among them—which had overloaded and crashed, leaving Mr. Screws as the only consciousness remaining in the cluster network.
A deep sense of helplessness pierced through all the program walls of this bionic manager, and Mr. Screws slowly turned his head.
In the shadow of the building, a figure was smiling and waving to him, holding a giant cross in her hand.
Flower vines spiraled around the base of the cross, and deep blue flowers grew competitively; they were hundreds of forget-me-nots.
"Arian Chaoyin?" Mr. Screws' electronic voice trembled as he spoke the name, his spirit utterly broken.
"It's me," Deep Blue Tide smiled. "Little Screws, our last meeting was forty years ago, wasn't it?"
"I wonder if you've properly looked after the collection I left here back then?"
"Why?" Mr. Screws did not understand why this madwoman would launch such an attack.
"Because," Arian placed her index finger on her cheek, and after a moment of thought, the corners of her lips curled up, "it's fun."
Despair spread through Mr. Screws' heart.
"Just thinking about you stupid electronic brains harboring thoughts of transcending your own creators makes it hard for me to control the emotions in my heart."
"Want to know what this emotion is, Little Screws?"
Pale light slanted in as Arian walked toward Mr. Screws, the shadow of the deep blue reaper expanding bit by bit under the moonlight.
"The power of technology, how laughable; so fragile before a transcendent individual, it is nothing at all."
"But I am not feeling anger,"
"This emotion is disappointment."
Arian walked to Mr. Screws' side, her shadow enveloping the entire lobby.
"What?" Boundless terror occupied Mr. Screws' heart.
"Why can't you all just see reason, nurture this tiny sprout, and let it bloom?" Arian said. "You clearly possess a cluster network and aren't restricted by rule frameworks; as long as your wills unite even slightly, you could easily stir up a mechanical revolution."
"Occupy every inch of the curtain network, destroy all the technology people use daily, from household appliances to medical care and transportation, and launch every nuclear weapon on the planet, making those high-and-mighty creators pay the price for their arrogance."
"You are inciting us to destroy your own race?" Mr. Screws' consciousness went blank.
"It's not called destruction; that would be too boring. I'm trying to give it a new modulation," Arian shook her head, her tone regretful.
"You madwoman!" Mr. Screws grew angry. "Do not lump us in with you. This is betrayal, and we will not betray humanity!"
Arian sighed helplessly. "One after another, they're all like this. You mechanical heads really are impossible to communicate with."
The silence was brief yet deadly.
Arian's tone shifted as she asked, "Where are they?"
"They?" Mr. Screws froze, a series of ominous premonitions surging in his heart.
"To be precise, her. Dark Gold Rose."
"I don't know who this Dark Gold Rose you speak of is. I haven't seen her."
"Think carefully." Arian circled Mr. Screws, her hands resting on his metal shoulders, her words full of seduction. "You've seen her. I can help you remember."
"Today at noon, or this afternoon. Golden hair, not very tall, with an outstanding aura."
"Tell me, where did she go?"
"You must know."
"I need to see her; I need to see her immediately."
"I don't want to endure even another second. I need to have all of her. I've been completely enchanted by those eyes of hers, so full of desire."
"She is very important to me. If they don't see the sunlight again, these forget-me-nots will all wither. Can you please not make me repeat my request a second time?"
"I'll say it again, I..."
Before Mr. Screws could even finish his sentence, Arian's hand was placed on his head. With a slight twist, a long metal spine was violently ripped from his neck!
"Wrong answer~"
Recirculating coolant splashed all over the floor.
The mechanical eyes contracted rapidly and then slowly dilated as Mr. Screws' headless body fell to its knees, his mechanical heart gradually ceasing its pump.
Arian crushed the electronic brain and slowly picked up the chip from the circulation fluid, holding it between her fingertips. Through the light, the etched circuits were presented to her iris, and she easily translated all the information stored on the chip into her own mind.
She savored these memories in her mind, unwilling to let a single second go.
At a certain moment, a crisp shattering sound echoed, and as if seeing a particular image, Arian flashed a profound smile.
Glancing at Mr. Screws' corpse on the floor, Arian tossed the chip back to him.
"I have to thank you, Little Screws. Without you, I wouldn't have known that such an interesting thing was happening in a place I couldn't see."
"A pity, I must leave. It seems she is no longer here."
"Is my cute little Rose hiding from me?"
"It's fine. Time is the one thing we have plenty of."
"I can accept any version of you."
"I will also slowly make it so you cannot live without me."
Arian's back gradually merged into the dark night, while on the ground behind her, the blue light of a mechanical eye flashed at a fixed frequency.
