When the sky finally regained its azure blue, no one on the ground could believe it was real. Though the Blood Moon had lasted only a short time, it had caused a massive number of casualties. Many nobles, including Marquis William, had perished under its influence while attempting to flee the city.
The survivors seemed to have found a different way of living. Everything was no longer subject to the control of the nobility. A large number of commoners emerged within the City Council, standing at the forefront of the era and calling for the abolition of more laws that suppressed commerce.
Few, however, remembered that on a certain afternoon that no one wished to recall, a girl was about to leave Parvati.
“Wait!”
The white-haired girl turned around slowly to see Kelly running toward her. Behind her was a group of men and women dressed in formal attire.
“How could you not say a word to everyone and just leave your resignation letter on the desk?” Kelly’s eyes were filled with tears.
“I originally intended to leave quietly on my own.” Li Yue smiled. She looked down at the ground beside her, suddenly touched by the atmosphere of departure.
“At least let us see you off.” Yorick stepped forward. “And as for this resignation application... rejected, rejected! Just because you’re leaving here doesn’t mean you’re no longer one of us.”
“Remember to come back and visit,” Yorick said, his nose twitching.
“Ding-ling, ding-ling!” In the distance, the bell of the passenger ship rang, signaling its imminent departure.
“Can you... leave something behind for us?” Kelly took out two magic recording devices. Everyone surrounded Li Yue, and she struck a peace sign. This moment was recorded forever. There were two copies: one for Li Yue, and one to be placed in the small manor that Li Yue had first called 'home.'
She said her goodbyes to everyone with great sincerity.
Amidst the surging crowd, she gradually disappeared from the sight of the people still waving. They watched the large magic-powered passenger ship from afar until it vanished over the horizon.
On the sea, the ship sailed steadily. Li Yue stroked the magic recording in her hand, feeling a slight sting in her nose. She took out the sheet music Roland had written for her, along with that silver demon hunter medal. Finally, her tears could no longer be held back and began to fall.
She tucked them away and took out the token engraved with the letter K. A location on it was glowing with a faint white light; that was her destination.
The white light representing Parvati gradually dissipated, seemingly signifying Caesar’s death, but that was no longer important.
Would a Blood Moon or a similar event happen again? Li Yue didn’t know, but she did know that there were many more tokens like this one, and those who wished to establish a new Royal Court were still active.
What would the future hold? What would become of the new world? These were long-term questions. There seemed to be many secrets left within her. This might be a journey, a path toward self-discovery, or perhaps, her own redemption.
She took out the music box Roland had given her and wound it to the right tension. The melodious tune rang out once more. She looked out the window; the weather was fine, the sky was blue, and the sea breeze carried a slight saltiness.
The ship sailed toward the distance, carrying away the girl’s sorrow, her obsessions, and her deep regrets...

At least I’m looking down
