Chapter 292 · Volume 1

Form of Lust

In the sky, the moon that had been constantly bright slowly began to extinguish. A boundless, blood-colored light sliced through it completely, and the expression that resembled a ferocious grin began to fade, gradually approaching nothingness and silence. It was as if nothing had ever happened; everything once again followed the laws of the world and the rules of nature, moving from the past toward the future.
“What on earth is...” Clo, who had not been stopped by time, witnessed the entire process. She watched as the moon began to turn eerie, then saw an incredibly powerful force tear through that strange, smiling moon. Crimson blood dripped down from the “wound” where the moon had been severed, only to turn into dust the moment it neared the ground.
The bizarre sight assaulted her perception, and a sense of absurd helplessness welled up in her heart. She didn't know how many people could witness this scene, but if they did, they would likely fall into a state of temporary madness.
She sprinted upstairs. The guards in the pitch-black castle had vanished at some unknown point. Tonight was destined to be an extraordinary night. She frantically pushed open the heavy doors before her, and the sudden scent of blood made her already disoriented mind twitch with pain.
Blood covered the floor alongside shattered mirror fragments. Li Yue leaned against the window, rubbing her brow. No one knew what she had just seen—within countless broken mirror surfaces, every version of “Li Yue” from the past ten thousand years had begun to twist and turn into piles of flesh. Countless eyes surrounded her, and pitch-black shadows coiled around her, seemingly trying to drag her down into an abyss of despair and madness.
She wore a long dress that covered her ankles, its hem trailing all the way into the bottomless Death Abyss beneath her. Li Yue turned her head, her blood-red vertical pupils lingering on Clo for a moment. She flicked her snake tongue and “walked” from the window to the bedside. The scattered glass shards and blood on the floor turned into flecks of dust as she passed.
The sound of scales rubbing against the floor echoed in the silent room. Clo took two steps to the side. For some reason, she felt that Li Yue seemed taller today, and her temperament had changed significantly. Her silent demeanor was somewhat frightening.
The sound of scales dragging became clearer and clearer. Clo glanced at the floor; a pale snake tail was rubbing against the ground, slowly slithering as it continuously emerged from the Death Abyss.
“A Yue... what exactly is...” Clo swallowed hard. She felt Li Yue’s form flash past her back and then reappear directly in front of her. Li Yue cupped Clo's face, and within her eyes, Clo saw a flicker of uncontrollable desire.
“There... the true body you wanted to see is right here.” Li Yue pressed her forehead tightly against Clo’s. She stared into Clo’s eyes, her crimson gaze emitting a blood-red shimmer that drew in Clo’s spirit, making it impossible for her to look away.
My gaze... I can't look away... I can't even think...
“His power still had an effect on me... I’m really... so confused right now.” Li Yue held Clo’s face. Clo stood dazed, only to realize that the pale serpentine body had unknowingly coiled around her. She found that she couldn't break free using physical strength alone, and she couldn't feel the magic within her body at all, as if everything had been completely bound.
“That... god of ‘madness’?” Clo instinctively took a step back. This was the first time she had seen Li Yue with such prominent serpentine features. To be honest, it stirred some... she couldn't say they were bad, but they were certainly hazy memories.
“He influenced the moon, and I didn't even notice,” Li Yue said casually. “As long as He turns me into His vessel, He can thoroughly turn this world in its infancy into a ‘paradise.’”
“His magic corrected the boundaries between reality and a certain special world, including those of ‘Li Yue’ and ‘Jormungandr.’” Li Yue spread her hands, her long dress partially concealing her serpentine form.
“My divine body is clashing with my original body... it might take a while to eliminate the influence.” Li Yue flicked her snake tongue, letting out a “hissing” sound that made Clo’s throat and lower abdomen tremble.
“I’m afraid it will take some time for this influence to fade.” As Li Yue spoke, she continued to let out intermittent hissing sounds. “Once I ascend to godhood again, my image will be established, and there won't be these ‘blurred zones’ anymore.”
As she spoke, Li Yue manifested several blood crystals with very rough surfaces. Her fingernails scraped against the crystals, creating sparks. Under the assimilation of the divine body, her nails had become sharp and long, though she hadn't used them in a long time, having grown accustomed to longswords.
Her serpentine body easily entangled Clo as she casually moved back to the window. She sharpened her nails while looking out at the long night where the moonlight had been extinguished. There was still a long time before dawn, enough time for her to vent the intense desire in her heart.
“Um... A Yue... can you let me go first?” Clo exerted some effort, only to find that the more she struggled, the tighter Li Yue seemed to coil, as if it were a snake's habit when catching prey.
“Why? Isn't this the serpentine form you were clamoring to see?” Li Yue slithered to Clo’s side, her snake tongue hissing near her ear, occasionally brushing against the auricle. The tiny barbs brought a faint stinging sensation as they extended and retracted within the sensitive ear canal, causing Clo’s body to shudder uncontrollably.
Li Yue pulled up the side of her skirt, revealing her smooth, pale waist. Clo suddenly realized a problem: if everything below the lower abdomen was a snake... then the clothing beneath the skirt... none of it could be worn...
Oh no...
Clo quickly tried to recall any magic or medicine that could block physical sensation, but in this situation... none of it seemed useful.
“I was originally going to look for you, but I didn't expect you to deliver yourself to my door.” Li Yue smiled faintly. “Time is running out... if I didn't have so many concerns, I’d really want to kill everyone on this island and destroy all the heretics.”
“The moon is starting to disappear... more people will probably notice soon. No matter, they won't find anything else unusual for a short while.” Li Yue smiled thinlly. Her serpentine body seemed to relax slightly, but only enough to expose the area from Clo’s abdomen to her thighs; her limbs were still completely immobilized. “Let’s just pretend we don't know and have a good rest for a while~”
“A Yue... wait, shouldn't we be doing something... more urgent?” Clo looked into Li Yue’s crimson eyes. She subconsciously glanced at Li Yue’s slender fingers; the nails on her index and middle fingers had already been filed perfectly smooth. She swallowed hard in fear.
“Shouldn't a patient be treated after an accident?” Li Yue extended her tongue, which now reached all the way down to her abdomen. “My mind... is quite chaotic right now~”
“Wait... wait, I'll... I'll die...”
“Is that so? Don't worry, I'll control my strength. This time, don't cry for help~”
