...
The void.
Lilith stepped out from a spatial crack, the first thing meeting her eyes being the sight of this star region.
“It seems he’s run out of patience,” Lilith thought.
She looked around and found the remains of shattered celestial bodies in the distance.
Clearly, Orosius had engaged in large-scale destruction here while waiting for her.
Just then, a voice rang out behind her, carrying a suppressed, violent rage.
“You really kept me waiting a long time.”
Lilith turned abruptly.
Orosius stood a hundred meters behind her, appearing without her noticing when.
He floated in the void, staring intently at her, a crimson light flickering in his eyes.
Lilith took a deep breath but did not answer.
She struck first, raising her right hand toward Orosius.
Sshhh
An invisible slash instantly appeared in front of Orosius's chest.
Orosius did not dodge.
The slash hit him square in the chest.
Pfft.
A soft sound echoed.
Orosius recoiled slightly by half a step as a thin, long wound appeared on his chest, blood seeping out.
He looked down at the wound, a cold sneer curling his lips.
“Is that all?”
He reached out, wiped a handful of blood from his chest, and then smeared it onto his hair. The blood stained the tips of his strands red.
Under Lilith’s surprised gaze, the wound on his chest healed at a speed visible to the naked eye.
In just three seconds, the wound vanished, leaving behind only a faint white scar.
Lilith's pupils constricted slightly.
She was startled inwardly: “So tough? That attack would have been enough to one-shot an ordinary powerhouse above Rank 9, yet it only left a single wound on him...”
Orosius walked slowly toward Lilith.
One step, two steps, three steps.
He walked very slowly, but every step he took in the void caused the surrounding space to tremble slightly.
“Demon King,” he spoke, his voice echoing through the void, “today is the day you die.”
He grinned, revealing forest-white teeth.
“Hahaha!”
His laughter was crazed, tyrannical, and filled with killing intent.
Lilith did not hesitate.
She raised her right hand, opening a spatial rift beside Orosius.
Riiip...
Orosius paused for a moment, not knowing what Lilith was trying to do.
But in the next second, he understood.
Behind the crack was the wasteland of the Demon Realm.
And floating above that wasteland was a white energy orb of staggering mass.
Inside the orb, the energy was incredibly violent, radiating a destructive aura.
Lilith looked at Orosius and gave a light chuckle.
“Here’s an instant blast for you.”
The white energy orb instantly passed through the spatial crack and appeared directly in front of Orosius.
“Boom!!!”
A flash of blinding white light erupted as the energy surge swallowed everything, completely enveloping Orosius’s body.
The terrifying energy expanded outward from Orosius, tearing countless cracks into the already fragile void and instantly vaporizing the distant celestial fragments.
Lilith had already teleported ten thousand miles away before the explosion, propping up a Mana Barrier to withstand the shockwave.
She looked at the area shrouded in white light, her red pupils devoid of any emotion.
She didn't believe Orosius could come out unscathed.
The white light lasted for a full ten seconds before slowly dissipating.
Lilith looked toward the center of the explosion.
There, Orosius floated in the void.
But his condition was very poor.
The left half of his body, from his shoulder to his waist, had completely vanished.
Blood gushed from the stump, condensing into a blood mist in the void and floating around him.
His internal organs were fully exposed to the vacuum, looking horrific.
Orosius kept his head down, his long hair covering his face, making it impossible to see his expression.
But he was still breathing, albeit very faintly.
Moreover, Lilith could feel that the half of his body that had vanished was regenerating at a speed visible to the naked eye.
“Cough...”
Orosius coughed up a mouthful of blood.
He slowly raised his head and looked at Lilith, his eyes filled with nothing but cold, tyrannical killing intent.
“You really stop at nothing,” he spoke, his voice somewhat raspy due to his damaged lungs. “In that case, I won't show any mercy either.”
“I will let you know what true despair is.”
...
The perspective shifted.
The Demon Realm, in a hidden space.
Veen stood in the darkness, a water mirror floating before him.
The water mirror displayed the battle between Lilith and Orosius.
Luya stood beside him, her pink-to-white gradient hair glowing slightly in the dark, with shimmering star markings in her eyes.
“Veen,” she spoke softly, her voice carrying a hint of worry, “are you really going to join? A battle of this level is too dangerous...”
“I know,” Veen interrupted her, his golden eyes fixed on the water mirror. “But I must do this.”
Luya bit her lip and said no more.
She raised her hand and tapped the water mirror lightly.
The image in the water mirror became clearer, even revealing the details of Orosius’s wound regeneration.
Watching Orosius’s terrifying regenerative ability on the screen, Veen’s brow furrowed slightly.
“This regeneration speed... it's already close to an immortal body,” he muttered to himself. “Her Majesty’s strike was enough to destroy a plane, yet it only heavily injured him and couldn't kill him...”
Luya looked at Veen, hesitated for a moment, and then spoke anyway.
“Veen, what exactly do you want to do? We can't interfere in a battle of this caliber. Even if you go, what can you do?”
Veen did not answer.
He just stared at the water mirror, a complex light flickering in his golden eyes.
After a moment, he raised his hand and pulled a sword from the void.
Seeing this sword, Luya’s pupils shrank.
“Veen, you’re crazy...”
“If Orosius wins,” Veen interrupted her, his voice calm, “the situation will truly be grim. In that case, I will be the one to slay Orosius.”
He gripped the hilt, and the blade vibrated slightly, emitting a heart-palpitating aura.
He looked at the water mirror, at the Orosius who was currently regenerating in the image.
“If Her Majesty is defeated, I will take action.”
Luya opened her mouth to say something but ultimately just lowered her head.
“I understand,” she said softly. “Then... I’ll take my leave.”
Veen nodded.
Luya’s figure slowly faded away, merging into the darkness.
Only Veen remained in the space.
He held his sword and watched the water mirror, his golden eyes devoid of emotion.
He tightened his grip on the hilt.
