Chapter 95 · Volume 1

Xiaobai and Director-General Shen's Love Vlog (Part 3)

Seeing that he didn't speak and didn't even dare to let his mind wander, Director-General Shen leaned against the volleyball net post, shrugged, and commented, “It seems you are even more of a pervert than I imagined.”
Hearing this, the corner of Bai Xiaodu's eye twitched.
What the fuck is that supposed to mean?
You can actually describe the nonsense I spouted when we first met as pure and clean, yet here you are calling me a pervert?
Who could put up with this?
Bai Xiaodu put up with it.
Director-General Shen then added, “A suit showcases a slender figure, but more importantly, it can be worn in any formal or informal setting, saving a lot of unnecessary trouble. That is why I always choose to wear it.”
“I thought that if you liked formal wear like suits so much, changing into what the general public considers sexy attire might excite you even more.”
Director-General Shen shook her head regretfully.
“But aside from confusion and admiration, you didn't reveal even a shred of your true feelings.”
“I have heard that the sexual preferences of the fox-kin are quite different from those of humans, but I didn't expect the difference to be this vast.”
“It seems I failed to take this aspect into account.”
“Instead of liking the body revealed when normal couples take their relationship a step further, you are infatuated with suits, which only appear in formal settings.”
“Obsessing over hidden desires masked by solemnity and seriousness.”
Her tone in that last sentence carried a hint of disdain.
“Tsk. Xiaobai, you are even more of a pervert than I thought.”
Bai Xiaodu could barely keep his straight face.
What on earth was Director-General Shen thinking?!
He believed his mental and physical state were perfectly normal.
The outrageous behavior he displayed when he first met Director-General Shen was merely for self-preservation.
Yet she actually took it as a sincere expression of his true feelings!
This was slander! Pure slander!
Bai Xiaodu was about to retort, but he forced himself to swallow the words right as they reached his lips.
How could he explain it?
Director-General Shen was probably well aware of the intense pressure she had put on him back then.
If even under such extreme pressure, Bai Xiaodu could steer things in that direction...
Now that they were so relaxed, he wasn't thinking about it at all.
What was he supposed to say?
And even if he said it, why would she believe him?
Bai Xiaodu decided to just bite the bullet and own up to it.
A natural look of embarrassment appeared on his face as he mumbled and nodded in agreement.
Naturally, an "as I expected" look appeared on Director-General Shen's face.
Bai Xiaodu closed his eyes in agony.
She waved her hand.
“There is no need to be upset over this. If you like suits, I will simply wear them for you.”
“However, I think the outfit I will wear next might be even more interesting than a suit.”
“W-what is it?”
Director-General Shen lightly flicked her toe, kicking a blue, white, and yellow volleyball up into her hand.
She waved it at Bai Xiaodu.
“Next is a game of beach volleyball. The rules are very simple: we each stand on one side.”
“As long as the volleyball hits the ground, whichever side it lands on loses.”
Bai Xiaodu's ears twitched with excitement.
“Sure!”
Playing games with others? He was highly skilled at that.
Besides, this was beach volleyball. With his points invested in his Perception attribute, wouldn't this be an easy win?
Once he put in just a bit of effort, Director-General Shen would definitely have to run all over the place to save the ball.
With a body like hers, that sight... just thinking about it was beautiful.
Bai Xiaodu urged her impatiently, his tail wagging rapidly.
“Let's start right now!”
Director-General Shen wagged her finger.
“No rush. I haven't finished explaining the rules. This is both a game and a form of training for you.”
“For this volleyball game, you can only use Mage Hand to catch and return the ball.”
Ball sports required reaction speed. Having transcendent power indeed made things much easier compared to ordinary people.
But when the opponent was of the same caliber or even higher, this slight advantage vanished completely.
What's more, Mage Hand was a proper spell that required chanting or constructing spell runes!
This meant that even if Bai Xiaodu reacted in time, the volleyball could very well pass straight through a half-formed Mage Hand and hit the ground.
By doing this, Director-General Shen had undoubtedly multiplied the difficulty several times over.
Bai Xiaodu's expression remained unchanged, having expected this long ago.
He knew Director-General Shen would never design a so-called game to be so easy.
After all, she was an Autocracy transcendent, possessing an incredibly strong desire for control.
This kind of person always had to be on top, controlling the entire situation.
Yet Bai Xiaodu didn't show even a hint of displeasure.
It was just a game, and more importantly, it was helping him train.
He would gladly put in his absolute best and still lose to Director-General Shen, just so he could look at her with eyes full of envy and admiration.
She smiled faintly.
“For an apprentice, this game seems to offer no hope of winning.”
“But Xiaobai is very smart, right?”
“As an incentive,” she pinched her chin, “whoever lets a ball land on their side must remove one piece of clothing as a penalty.”
Director-General Shen spoke slowly, her long, straight legs crossed as she stood, the heel of her back foot slightly lifted.
“Of course, I am only wearing this outfit and won't change. If I lose, whether it's the top or the bottom, you can choose whichever one you want.”
“How about it?”
Receiving no reply, she looked up and let out a puzzled hum.
Only to see that Bai Xiaodu had already stood on the other side of the volleyball net at some point.
Looking as if he had suddenly gained over a hundred pounds, his body was bundled up like a ball.
Meeting Director-General Shen's gaze, Bai Xiaodu was bursting with battle intent, having forced himself into a chef's uniform he had grabbed from who-knows-where.
“Bring it on, Director-General Shen.”
“I'm fucking going to beat you until you don't know which way is up!”
