Black Feather

【Wanyi】: @Angry Crow Takes Flight, Boss, why don't we reconsider? Black Feather is actually quite nice, low-key, luxurious, and meaningful...

Cheng Shuili fell silent. The name did sound a bit chuunibyou, but didn't it also make one's blood boil?!

Messages in the group chat were still refreshing.

【Liang Shanbo vs. Pig】: Actually, we wouldn't introduce it like that, right? Shouldn't we say, “Hello, I’m from the Angry Crow Takes Flight”? The boss’s reputation is so resounding?!

【Wanyi】: It’s a good thing the boss didn't name it herself back then...

That’s prejudice!

Cheng Shuili frowned. She wanted to say something to refute them, but after pondering her own achievements, she chose to use the name of Egg Boss as an example.

【Angry Crow Takes Flight】: Egg Boss, the name of my chicken. I named it.

The entire focus of this sentence was on those last three words, but the few of them each had different points of concern.

【New Snow Clearing】: ??? Egg Boss is a chicken?!

【Liang Shanbo vs. Pig】: I always thought Egg Boss was a code name for some big shot... It turns out it’s really just an egg-laying chicken?!

【Wanyi】: ...So Boss, you named a chicken Egg Boss, and named the dynasty we founded the Dynasty of the Crow... This naming system is quite consistent.

【Ai Mi Li】: I feel like I’ve suddenly accepted the name “Dynasty of the Crow.” At least it’s a bit better than “Dynasty of Egg Boss”...

【Angry Crow Takes Flight】: ......

Enough.

The Dynasty of Egg Boss had even come up.

Let’s just go with Black Feather. Although it’s short and chuunibyou, everyone seems to like it.

Cheng Shuili thought for a moment, then got up, opened the cab door, and sat in the passenger seat.

Su Rui had been watching her out of the corner of her eye since she entered. Cheng Shuili was the type who never visited without a reason; what was she here for this time?

...

“You mean...” Su Rui frowned tightly. Cheng Shuili didn't doubt that she could crush a fly between her brows: “You want to name the faction ‘Dynasty of the Crow’?”

Cheng Shuili didn't answer; she just watched her quietly.

But no answer meant confirmation!

Su Rui stepped on the brake. She leaned back against the seat and raised a hand to cover her eyes, “What was the other name?”

“Black Feather.”

“Then let’s call it Black Feather.”

Cheng Shuili: “......”

She thought for a moment and then asked, “Is Egg Boss really that bad?”

Su Rui pursed her lips before answering, “Compared to the Dynasty of the Crow, that is already a very good name.”

Alright, alright.

Cheng Shuili returned empty-handed and named her faction Black Feather.

The black feathers of a crow.

Thinking about it that way, it didn't seem so bad.

After entering the name, Cheng Shuili clicked confirm.

A brand new regional announcement went out!

【The regional faction “Black Feather” has been successfully founded! The leader is “Angry Crow Takes Flight”!】

There was actually a regional announcement?

System notifications rang out one after another, and a brand new, fully functional faction panel unfolded before Cheng Shuili.

The member list currently only had her, lonely and alone, but the various sub-options were already clearly visible!

【You are the leader “Angry Crow Takes Flight” and have automatically obtained the highest authority.】

【Please select or obtain a territory as the faction base as soon as possible to unlock base-related functions.】

【Cohesion Aura (Primary) has been activated! When there are two or more “Black Feather” members in a team, all attributes increase by 1%!】

Cheng Shuili first conveniently added all four people in her squad to “Black Feather” and granted them high-level management permissions, second only to her own.

The small group chat immediately became lively.

【New Snow Clearing】: Wow! I’m in, I’m in! Long live Black Feather! The boss is wise (It’s a good thing it’s not called the Dynasty of the Crow!)

Cheng Shuili: “......”

The things inside the parentheses could be deleted.

【Liang Shanbo vs. Pig】: Boss! Boss! Is this our new home?

【Ai Mi Li】: From now on, we are the founding members!

【Wanyi】: I’m tearing up. Following the Crow to this day, I really suddenly have a feeling of things finally settling down.

Cheng Shuili actually felt that way too.

But now was not the time for sentimentality; the base hadn't even been chosen yet.

Cheng Shuili only had two territories she could choose from: one was the underground storage room sent by Tiger Brother, and the other was the Dilapidated Manor sent by Ge Wudi.

Since it was to be the base, bigger was naturally better!

Besides, the Dilapidated Manor was permanent; there was no need to worry about paying fees later. It was absolutely the best choice!

Cheng Shuili opened the territory management and set the “Dilapidated Manor” as the base for “Black Feather.”

Several notifications instantly popped up in front of all the Black Feather members:

【Successfully bound the territory “Dilapidated Manor” as the base for the faction “Black Feather”!】

【Base functions fully unlocked!】

【Detected that the base infrastructure is rudimentary. Materials can be consumed for expansion and reinforcement. Would you like to view the upgrade options?】

Cheng Shuili scanned it roughly. The upgrade projects were numerous, from reinforcing walls and adding defensive works to building simple housing, functional buildings (such as a canteen, medical station, and training ground), and even options for laying out farmland in the future. However, every single item required the consumption of substantial materials!

“Sure enough, establishing a faction is just the beginning; supporting the faction is the real bulk of the work.”

Cheng Shuili muttered a sentence and temporarily closed the panel.

This couldn't be rushed; it required careful consideration.

The few people in the small group hadn't entered the territory yet. Now that they had suddenly received such a message, they naturally wanted to go in and take a look.

Cheng Shuili had originally wanted to enter the territory directly, but after thinking about it, she opened the regional channel and took a glance.

“Black Feather! Boss Crow’s faction is called Black Feather!”

“This name is okay! It’s cooler than I imagined!”

“I thought it would be called ‘Crow Cult’ or ‘Airplane Brigade’ or something……”

“+1, Black Feather sounds much more reliable!”

“Is the boss recruiting? Look at me! My attributes are above average, I have weapons, and I have survival skills!”

“Please take me in! I can cook and act cute!”

“@Angry Crow Takes Flight, Boss! What are the criteria for recruitment?”

Recruitment wasn't urgent. With her reputation, there would be plenty of people coming, and besides...

Cheng Shuili lowered her eyes. She had to see what the situation was with the two of them, Glory and the other. If they were truly determined to follow her, those would be two rare, top-tier workers!

Cheng Shuili opened her private messages, sent a message to Glory, and then also slipped into the territory.

Zhao Hong had originally been watching the regional channel. Hearing the sound of a private message, he hurriedly opened it to check.

【Angry Crow Takes Flight】: What are your plans?

Zhao Hong’s first reaction was that the other party had indeed also learned about what happened to Zhu Xuan.

But he wasn't clear about the agreement Cheng Shuili had with Zhu Xuan back then. Hearing this question, he thought Cheng Shuili was testing his loyalty.

He didn't have any hesitation and answered cleanly and neatly.

【Glory Shines on Blue Star】: Both Qingshan and I are still following you. Boss, I’ve been calling you that for a while now. No matter what happened to the organization or how it develops in the future, that has nothing to do with us. Qingshan and I only listen to your arrangements.
