While Li Xiuman screamed at the top of his lungs, he secretly steered the monster toward the most crowded areas!

Li Xiuman screamed desperately, seemingly attempting to make the monster “stop”!
Yet, at every critical moment, the monster would somehow always swerve toward the densest crowds.

Begging for mercy!
The entire area was instantly transformed into a living hell.
Finally, Li Xiuman realized he had done wrong!

Looking at the human corpses littering the ground and the traumatized survivors, Li Xiuman felt as though he were drowning in a sea of endless regret!
This overwhelming feeling made him want to bury his face in his hands and weep!

“I actually crushed them all without looting their bodies first!”
“How many gold coins did I lose? How much wealth did I just destroy? I am an absolute beast! How could I do something so thoughtless!”
“Has getting that windfall from Fantes made me too arrogant?”
“A version of me like this is truly lower than a pig or a dog!”
Clinging to the back of the thrashing monster, Li Xiuman lamented in deep self-reflection.
Then, he looked down at the surviving humans.
Despair was written all over their faces, and they were splattered with blood and bits of flesh, looking incredibly pathetic.
Humans in this state would be far more grateful when saved, wouldn't they?
Li Xiuman mused inwardly.
If he had saved them right from the start, they might have blamed him for drawing the monster to them in the first place.
If so, they might have held him responsible for the chaos.
But saving them only after they had reached the depths of absolute despair... the effect of that would be entirely different.
At that point, he would be like a savior descending from heaven to rescue them from the brink of doom. They would have no choice but to be profoundly grateful.
“Stop! You monster!”
Li Xiuman roared.
The earth trembled violently. Thick, massive ground spikes erupted from the earth around the monster, locking it in place.
“Roar!”
The monster roared, thrashing its tentacles to smash against the surrounding spikes.
“Freeze!”
Li Xiuman gripped Crystal Orchid tightly and funneled a massive amount of mana into it.
Crystal Orchid glowed with a brilliant blue light, unleashing a raging blizzard of frost that swept across the area.
The corpses and bloody remnants littering the street were frozen solid against the ground.
Perhaps due to the weakening effect of Fantes's “fleshy facial mask essence,” the monster's struggles grew weaker and weaker beneath the icy onslaught.
It could only desperately whip its remaining tentacles at Li Xiuman, who was still clinging to its back.
Li Xiuman couldn't pull away, but Number Zero landed right behind him, raising its massive shield to block the oncoming tentacles one after another.
“Let's end this here!”
Li Xiuman shouted at the top of his lungs.
At the pommel of Crystal Orchid, a blue magic circle expanded.
Crack, crack!
Layers of ice began to spread outward, using Crystal Orchid as the epicenter.
The monster's frantic struggles steadily subsided, until its flailing tentacles stiffened and froze mid-air, locked in their thrashing poses.
The ice continued to spread rapidly, halting only when the entire colossal monster was sealed within a massive, unbreakable block of solid ice.
Li Xiuman slowly stood up. Looking down at the survivors who had just narrowly escaped death, he raised his wand high into the air.
“Tier 2 Fusion Magic, Storm Rock Spear!”
A green-and-yellow dual-colored magic circle expanded in front of him.
The violent gale wrapped around the spinning rock spear, shattering the magic circle as it plummeted from above like a javelin hurled by a god, targeting the frozen monster.
The frozen monster could no longer defend itself.
It could only watch helplessly as the spear of rock and wind drew closer and closer.
Then it was pierced straight through, pinned ruthlessly to the ground.
