Wu Yao stared at the “Lv.1” on her panel, her lips curling upward uncontrollably.

She had leveled up!

She had finally leveled up!

Without hesitation, she spent her three free attribute points: one on Intelligence and the rest on Mana. These two attributes were currently her most cost-effective investments.

As for Strength, Agility, Constitution... who cared? She was now a noble witch capable of conjuring Fireballs with her bare hands. Did she really need to engage in hand-to-hand combat with common mobs?

With her attribute points allocated, she eagerly opened her system panel, where the newly unlocked feature icons were flashing continuously.

She rubbed her hands together. The features weren't going anywhere, but she had to loot the mobs first.

She had already taken the sword of that NPC whose name started with “Mar” or something, but there were bound to be other good things on them. She searched thoroughly.

A copper badge. After a moment of thought, Wu Yao cast Appraisal on it to test her new spell.

She put a few silver coins into her Inventory. They didn't take up any slots, and the silver coin counter in the top-left corner of her Inventory changed to +4.

She searched some more and pulled a dagger from the inside of Marcus's boot.

If this were any other game, she might have been happy. After all, the stats were decent and good enough for a beginner in the early game.

But she was already tired of those combat games. She was a prestigious witch now! How could she live up to her status if she didn't cast spells?

This dagger could stay in her Inventory for now.

She held the bottle of inferior healing potion up to the moonlight and gave it a shake. Some undissolved sediment floated within the turbid green liquid.

“That's it?” Unable to find anything else, Wu Yao frowned and cursed the developers. “The drop rate is so low! Do you even know how to design a game?”

The description was incredibly mysterious, so Wu Yao equipped it immediately. A faint crescent mark appeared next to her character name, flowing with subtle glimmers of light. It looked nice, and she was satisfied.

Finally, she opened her 【Log】, only to find the page completely blank. After refreshing it a few times, a system prompt popped up.

【The Log will update promptly at midnight every day.】

Wu Yao shrugged. Well, since the time hadn't come yet, she might as well complete the second quest first.

First, she needed to find a suitable location. Wu Yao looked left and right, thinking the land beneath her feet seemed pretty good.
