Forget it. It was just a game anyway. As long as she threw them in, it should work. Why overthink it?

While the potatoes and sweet potatoes underwent their delicious reaction by the door, she lay back down on her Moon-Silver Wood Bed.

A player would never let any buffs go to waste.

She currently had 172 pieces of wood on hand, but she was still short on other miscellaneous materials, such as seeds.

Although she had 10 Moon-Silver Grass seeds, Moon-Silver Grass was a magical plant and could only be planted in a Magic Farm.

And the Magic Farm wouldn't unlock until Territory Level 2. She still had a long way to grind...

Oh! Couldn't potatoes and sweet potatoes be planted too?

Although they were tubers, why shouldn't they count as another form of seed?

Wu Yao ran out of the cabin without stopping. On the previously empty ground inside the protective barrier, ten square plots of Farmland were neatly arranged in two rows.

Each plot was one meter square, with deep black soil that gleamed with an oily luster, looking highly fertile.

Wu Yao had never farmed before, but one of her older teacher colleagues back in the real world had started a small vegetable patch of a few square meters at school.

The Moon-Silver Wood had already burned down to a layer of glowing red embers. Wu Yao squatted by the fire and used her longsword to pull out several unidentified objects with blackened skins.

The skin had carbonized into a shiny black crust. Fortunately, the potatoes were quite large. Peeling away the charred outer layer revealed an enticing golden-yellow inside, with heat and aroma wafting into her face.

Wu Yao glanced at the item description.

The sweet potato's situation was a bit more complicated. The outer layer was a soft, mushy orange-red, but the middle was still pale yellow, and the very center still looked milky white. Fortunately, its sweet aroma was unaffected.

After removing the inedible parts of the potato just now, barely anything had been left, and she hadn't really tasted much. However, this sweet potato smelled much more promising than the potato.

Weren't games supposed to share a single taste template?

Why did they have to go as far as programming the taste of an undercooked sweet potato? Did they really need to be this meticulous?

Suppressing her disgust, she swallowed the rest of the sweet potato. As long as it restored Satiety, it was fine. She hadn't expected to eat any delicacies anyway, but—ugh.

Forget it. Satiety was what mattered. Just endure a bit more—ugh.

The hardships she had never suffered in the real world were now being made up for in this game.

Originally, she hadn't felt the need to build a dedicated kitchen. As long as she could make something that restored Satiety, anything would do.

She didn't know how to cook and didn't like doing it either; a kitchen would just be wasted on her.

But now that she had tasted her own handmade cooking...

Unlocking the Kitchen required Wood ×30, Earth Block ×20, and Iron Block ×5. She casually opened the Basic Material Pack.

On the Workbench, the Kitchen icon had lit up. She happily clicked construct and placed the kitchen to the right of the cabin's entrance.

The faint blue light of the Workbench glowed once more. After a few breaths, a simple kitchen was completed. It featured a brick stove, an iron pot rack, a relatively smooth stone countertop, and a wall-mounted storage shelf that was perfect for holding ingredients.

Everything was ready. The great chef was about to make her culinary debut!

Standing in the brand-new kitchen, Wu Yao rolled her robe sleeves up and up. She stuffed a piece of wood into the stove and lit it.

Recipes popped up over the stove, and she made her selections with a serious expression.

She lacked oil to make potato pancakes and yeast to make sweet potato buns, but potato soup was doable, as were steamed sweet potato cakes and simple bread. She would make these three!

The iron pot on the stove automatically filled with clean water, a kitchen knife floated in midair to peel and dice the potatoes one by one, and a bag of flour was mixed with water and kneaded into dough by an invisible hand...

The kitchen was filled with the aroma of potatoes and sweet potatoes. After working busy for a long while, the hardworking Chef Wu now had 【Potato Soup ×6】, 【Sweet Potato Cake ×10】, and 【Simple Bread ×5】 in her Inventory.
