Chapter 7 - Qianyuanzi's Death.
Inside the temple, Qianyuanzi was almost insane.
Seeing this, a surge of ruthlessness rose in Hua Erling's heart. He picked up the cleaver on the ground and chopped down without hesitation.
"Get out!"
Qianyuanzi's arm shook, and Hua Erling was uncontrollably thrown against the wall, spitting fresh blood, and fell unconscious.
"Immortal Opportunity, the Immortal Opportunity is mine..."
Qianyuanzi went completely mad. To be faster than Li Shiwu, he desperately tore off large chunks of his own flesh.
Seeing this scene.
A sense of comfort, like a handful of sweet spring water in the scorching dog days, made Li Shiwu feel utterly refreshed.
For how many days and nights had he suddenly woken up from dreams, drenched in cold sweat, fearing that he would be chopped down by the other party.
And now, everything was finally coming to an end.
"Master, thank you."
"Thank you for personally giving this Seed Immortal Temple to me. When your disciple becomes an immortal roaming the world, I will surely not forget to find your seven souls and six spirits, and burn them with the fires of the Nine Netherworlds for thousands and tens of thousands of years..."
Hearing this, Qianyuanzi's face became indescribably hideous.
He looked up and said hoarsely, "Wretch, I raised you, and now you want to peck out my eyes? Dream on!"
Qianyuanzi's movements grew faster.
The 'sizzling' sounds of flesh separating made this wilderness Daoist temple seem like a skinning hell, unspeakably terrifying.
A quick first step leads to quick subsequent steps.
Under Li Shiwu's careful planning, he had already gained the upper hand.
He would not lose this 'Seed Immortal' struggle.
Finally, of his entire body, only the scalp on his head remained.
"Master, your disciple goes first."
Li Shiwu's tone was very light, and with a smile, he just watched.
Qianyuanzi looked over at the sound, and couldn't help but freeze.
Then, he knelt on both knees without hesitation, wagging his tail and begging like a stray dog.
"Wretch... no... Shiwu, my disciple!"
"Master begs you, stop, quickly stop."
"I've searched for this temple my whole life, my entire life."
"You can't do this... you can't..."
However, seeing this, Li Shiwu's eyes showed no ripple. At this final juncture, his emotions uncharacteristically calmed down.
He only heard him speak softly, with a faint mockery: "Master, thank you." Read at Novels Haven (novelshaven.com)
"This Seed Immortal Temple opportunity, your disciple really likes it, truly."
As he exerted force with his palm, after the last streak of bloody light...
It was at this very moment.
Li Shiwu's entire body, completely out of control, fell into the strange black soil, disappearing without a trace.
"No... no..."
Qianyuanzi roared to the sky, filled with unwillingness, resentment, and regret.
However, with Li Shiwu's successful 'Seed Immortal' ritual, the peculiar vitality in the black soil no longer flowed into his body.
Without the support of that vitality, and having previously torn off his own flesh like a madman, Qianyuanzi was shattered all over.
At this moment.
He fell straight down, his entire being like a dying candle in the wind, with not long to live.
"Rebellious disciple, come out, you come out."
"The Immortal Opportunity is mine, the Seed Immortal Temple is mine."
"Give it back to me, give it back to me..."
Qianyuanzi, with a child-like cry, slowly and painfully crawled towards the place where Li Shiwu disappeared, leaving only a sticky trail of blood behind him.
He had dreamed his whole life, begged his whole life, schemed his whole life.
He never imagined that it would all come to nothing in the end, failing at the last moment and serving as a mere stepping stone for someone else.
Qianyuanzi was dead.
He died due to his own caution and suspicion, his own arrogance, his own wickedness, and also due to fate.
He just lay there in the Seed Immortal Temple he had yearned for, eyes wide open, unable to rest in peace.
And this cruel 'Seed Immortal' drama seemed to end abruptly at this moment.
In the corner.
Hua Erling was curled up there, his fingertips trembling slightly, only now regaining consciousness.
"Shiwu... Shiwu," he murmured.
"Cough... cough."
After spitting out another mouthful of bloody phlegm, he suddenly struggled to sit up.
He glanced around the temple, but Li Shiwu was nowhere to be seen.
On the other side, Guan San, whose chest had been severed by Qianyuanzi's blade, had surprisingly not died either, but was emitting intermittent, almost inaudible cries for help.
"Er... Erling."
"Save me, save me."

"Shiwu has already 'seeded immortal,' when he becomes an immortal, our good days will come, pull me up, please..."
Looking at the burly man collapsed in a pool of blood, Hua Erling's eyes held only disgust.
"Heh heh, you don't want to die?"
"Did those fellow disciples who died because of your betrayal want to die?"
Hua Erling roared, tightly closed his eyes, choosing to ignore him.
Slowly, Guan San finally breathed his last.
Looking at the corpse of his fellow disciple with whom he had spent day and night.
Hua Erling merely sighed, "If only I had known, why bother!"
Then, he glanced at Qianyuanzi's corpse.
And then, another unexpected event occurred.
This wilderness Daoist temple, under Hua Erling's very eyes, gradually vanished into thin air, as if it had never existed.
"This..."
Hua Erling was bewildered by the scene before him and quickly lowered his head to check.
He saw that the strange black soil in the temple was still there, like a neat vegetable patch, ten meters long and ten meters wide, spread out before him.
The remaining bones of Qianyuanzi, Guan San, and Shi Erba were also laid out on the black black soil.
Besides that, there was the toad Coffin Master, as large as a millstone, squatting there silently.
Seeing that nothing was missing, Hua Erling couldn't help but let out a sigh of relief.
"Good, good."
Then, he just slumped down.
Letting the cold wind brush his face, his emotions surged, sometimes crying, sometimes laughing.
"Dead, all dead."
"Hou Qi, Zhao Si, Shi Erba, Guan San, and Qianyuanzi, they are all dead..."
...
The next day.
As the sky gradually cleared.
Hua Erling, supporting his injured body, moved the bones of Qianyuanzi and the other two from the strange black soil.
He worried that the three corpses might affect Li Shiwu's 'Seed Immortal' process.
Only after finishing did he stand beside the black soil.
He called out, "Shiwu, are you alright? Can you hear me?"
Hua Erling's tone was concerned, with no trace of greed in his eyes. Read at Novels Haven (novelshaven.com)
