“It’s the dragon! That perverted black dragon is back!”
At this moment, only this single thought remained in the minds of all the humans.
Even though they had only seen him once, this black dragon had left an indelible impression on their hearts.
It wasn't just fear of an apex predator like a dragon; it was more of a form of mental pollution.
They still remembered the last time this dragon—wearing panties on his head and leading a pack of perverted lackeys—had suddenly raided their camp.
Most people's first reaction hadn't been to fight back.
Instead, they had frozen on the spot, their brains short-circuiting at the sight of his attire.
After all, what kind of respectable dragon would wear panties on their head?!
Fortunately, having gone through it once, almost everyone's mental resistance had more than doubled.
By now, they could probably raise a middle finger to a high-ranking demon without batting an eye.
Thus, even though the underpants on the black dragon's head were currently fluttering in the wind during his high-speed dive...
Neither side was affected in the slightest.
“Scatter! Shield guards, protect Lord Rudolf!”
Seeing the black dragon draw closer and closer, the captain of the guard, Moses, roared his orders.
In truth, there was no need for his order.
The two sides locked in chaotic combat directly below had already stopped fighting in tacit agreement.
They quickly scattered in all directions.
Upon receiving the order, the shield guards defending Rudolf quickly changed their formation, despite the apprehensions in their hearts.
One after another, they planted their feet wide, braced their shields with their sturdy arms, and raised the massive shields over their heads.
They formed a sloped steel barrier, shielding the old mage within.
“Roar!”
Facing this solid barrier of steel, Daviel still did not slow down.
Instead, he opened his massive maw mid-dive, spraying a thick torrent of acid breath.
“Mana Barrier!”
Just as the acid breath was about to hit the steel barrier, a translucent shield composed of pure mana suddenly materialized.
The acid was completely blocked.
However, what followed immediately after was the black dragon himself, folding his wings and slamming straight down.
In the next second.
“Boom!”
The black dragon's massive frame, combined with the acceleration of his high-speed descent, slammed heavily against the barrier.
The hastily formed mana shield sagged downward like an overloaded rubber membrane, its surface fracturing with countless cracks.
“Boom!”
Clang!
After absorbing most of the impact, the barrier finally shattered under the strain.
Falling from the sky like a meteorite, the black dragon, accompanied by splashing acid, crashed heavily into the steel shield wall.
The shields hissed with the sound of corrosion.
Intermingled within was the creaking sound of metal under immense strain.
The soldiers beneath the shields gritted their teeth and let out muffled roars.
At the cost of blood spurting from their wrists, they actually managed to withstand the massive impact.
Before the shield guards could react further...
Daviel, who had honed an iron-head technique from years of headbutting the ground, acted as if nothing had happened and unfurled his massive dragon wings.
Splat!
He spewed a blast of dragon breath directly onto the shields beneath him.
At the same time...
Daviel quickly took to the air to put some distance between them, looking almost as if he were being pushed back by the recoil of his own vomit.
Sizzle!!!
The highly corrosive acid rapidly ate through the steel shields.
Just as the acid was about to dissolve through the shields and melt the people beneath into skeletons, a furious roar suddenly rang out.
“Scatter!!!”
At the same time, the shield guards quickly retreated in all directions.
From the opening, a blazing burst of fire erupted.
“Boom!”
The surging flames clashed with the acid, triggering a violent explosion.
Burning, acidic droplets splattered in all directions like rain.
The shield guards who had just moved aside but hadn't run far enough became the biggest victims.
They tried to block with their shields, only to find that the metal had already been corroded full of holes.
The acid, mixed with fire, seeped through the holes and dripped onto their armor, producing a grating, sizzling hiss.
In their panic, some of the shield guards shed their armor.
However, the Imperial Guard, who had been waiting for the perfect moment, suddenly lunged forward, thrusting their weapons straight into the unprotected areas like a fierce, straightforward spear thrust.
Seeing this, Daviel was absolutely thrilled. He went wild, pumping even more power into his breath.
He looked as though he wanted to spew out his very stomach acid!
Whoosh! Clang!
In that brief moment when the little black dragon let his guard down, three Arcane Missiles tore through the air and slammed into his body, throwing off bright sparks.
His newly grown scales were clearly not hard enough; they were pierced through, leaving three wounds.
The little black dragon wailed in pain, his acid-spewing forcefully interrupted.
“Pyroblast!”
Seizing the opportunity, Rudolf lightly waved his staff.
Bypassing the process of constructing a spell model, he unleashed an instant-cast spell at the black dragon in the sky.
As the old mage's signature move, he had mastered Pyroblast to an unbelievable degree.
In the blink of an eye, a massive fireball carrying terrifying power and scorching heat arrived right in front of the black dragon.
To prevent it from being blocked, the giant fireball began to expand even before making contact.
An aura of destruction rapidly spread, carrying light and heat.
At such close range, there was absolutely no way to dodge. The little black dragon's eyes widened instantly.
He watched as the fireball rapidly expanded before him.
Driven by his survival instinct, Daviel quickly spat out a few complex syllables.
He cast a Draconic spell called Disintegrate.
Just as the giant fireball in front of him swelled to half the size of his body and was on the verge of exploding...
Pop!
Like a balloon being popped, the infinite energy within was dismantled, dispersing into countless harmless embers that drifted away in all directions.
A layer of cold sweat broke out on Daviel's head, whether from the intense heat or pure anxiety.
But it was quickly evaporated by the blazing heat, rising as a puff of white steam.
Before he could even breathe a sigh of relief, the flames were forcefully torn apart, and eight sharp, purple mana chains shot straight toward him.
The tips of the chains gleamed with a dense aura of decay!
Having fought him once before, Rudolf was well acquainted with this dragon's combat style.
Driven by the mounting sense of unease in his mind, he did not hesitate to burn his own mana tide once more to cast an instant spell.
If it hit, it would surely pierce through those fragile, newly grown scales and impale him.
Moreover, once the chains connected, the black dragon would become a sitting duck in the sky.
And this battle could practically be declared over.
Clang! Clang!
Just as the chains were about to strike, Daviel's body retreated explosively in midair, his dragon wings snapping shut.
Subconsciously, Daviel cast Disintegrate once more.
One of the chains dissolved.
But the remaining seven magic chains still pierced through his wing membranes at lightning speed.
“Roar!”
The intense pain jolted the little black dragon. He braked hard in midair, turning defense into offense as he spread his wings and dragged the chains.
He spewed another blast of dragon breath!
“Mana Shield!”
Rudolf stumbled slightly, hastily releasing a spell he had already prepared.
The moment he withstood the acid, he raised his staff high above his head.
Ignoring the throbbing pain in his head, he pushed himself to the absolute limit. Complex magic circles formed behind him at the speed of light.
“Thunder Wrath!”
“Elemental Blast x10!”
In the next second, what looked like a giant, hideous face made of pure lightning roared forth.
It was accompanied by ten missiles swirling with various elemental mana.
It looked as though it would completely swallow the little black dragon whole!
This was Rudolf's final ultimate move. Only boundless exultation remained in his eyes.
If this was God's way of blocking him, then they truly underestimated a mage's pursuit of truth and knowledge!
To pursue all of this, even if a dragon stood in his way, he would slay it!
Daviel's eyes reflected the oncoming magical brilliance and purple lightning.
Shackled by the chains, he had absolutely nowhere to run. At the final moment, he only had enough time to roar in Draconic:
“Big Sis!!!!”
The roar echoed through the heavens and earth.
In the next second, the lightning and missiles swallowed him whole.
“Boom! Boom! Boom...”
