“Whew, only one left.”
Irene's voice was a bit hoarse.
After unleashing three consecutive breath attacks, she felt as if her throat no longer belonged to her.
Turning her head, her cold eyes locked onto the dwarf cleric, who was still standing dazed, not yet fully processing what had happened.
Less than five minutes into the battle, and only one of the four was left standing.
Daviel also scrambled up from the ground, completely dizzy, his eyes spinning in dazed circles.
Shaking his head, Daviel plopped his butt onto the ground and mumbled,
“Sis... why do I feel so dizzy...”
“Don't panic. It's normal to feel dizzy. Just take a few deep breaths,”
Irene said without turning her head, her gaze still locked onto the final survivor.
Boom!
A flash of lightning illuminated the young dragon girl's profile.
Her mouthful of sharp teeth looked exceptionally menacing.
“Should I do it myself, or will you end it yourself?”
Rainwater dripped down Irene's dragon head.
The residual acid at the corner of her mouth, diluted by the rain, dripped onto the ground with a sizzling, corrosive sound.
Her golden eyes stared down at the dwarf in front of her.
Blood trickled from the corner of Iron Hammer's mouth. His legs were buried deep in the mud, and he tightly gripped his holy flail.
It was as if the weapon could offer him some semblance of courage.
His brownish-yellow eyes locked with the black dragon's, his mind filled with unknown thoughts.
Rain slid down his cheeks, mixing with the blood from his mouth and staining a lock of his beard blood-red.
A deathly silence fell over the forest, making it seem as if he had been paralyzed by fear.
Only after two seconds did Iron Hammer slowly speak: “...What a bunch of... useless... trash...”
As the last word left his mouth, a look of grim determination washed over his fleshy face.
His gaze grew sharp once more.
“You black dragon brat! My Lord is with me! I will fight you to the very end until I return to my Lord's heavenly kingdom!”
He roared, seemingly using some method to temporarily boost his strength.
His muscles began to swell rapidly, directly tearing apart his cleric robes.
They ripped open to reveal bulging, powerful knots of muscle!
His height was also shooting up!
A wild, powerful force surged from the depths of Iron Hammer's soul.
The dwarf cleric's aura actually began to climb rapidly in a short span of time.
Faced with this sudden transformation, Irene first knit her brows, and then her slitted pupils dilated to their limits.
A stream of curses immediately burst from her mouth:
“Fuck! What a pervert!”
She was, of course, not referring to his strength.
But his attire.
Who knew what this dwarf was thinking, but beneath his pristine white cleric robes, he was actually wearing a black...
Bikini.
And it looked like a magical item too, the kind that could expand and shrink with the wearer's size.
This was the only reason it hadn't been ripped apart by his swelling muscles.
But his thick, lush chest hair was incredibly eyesore...
Just one look at it... and Irene felt a sudden urge to gouge her own eyes out.
“Blegh...”
Feeling utterly mentally polluted, Irene almost threw up the venison she had eaten earlier that day.
Hearing Irene's words, Iron Hammer glanced down, and his eyes instantly froze.
A flush of red crept onto his scruffy, bearded face.
“Goddammit, I forgot to take this off...”
Seeing this, Daviel, who was watching from behind, was nearly dying of laughter.
Having his deepest, darkest secret suddenly exposed, Iron Hammer finally snapped.
He let go of his flail, allowing the weapon to clatter onto the ground.
Grabbing his bikini with both hands, he ground his teeth and said word by word:
“Since you've found out, there's no need for you to stay alive.”
“Let's die together!!!”
He practically screamed those words.
...
Irene was utterly speechless.
She had originally anticipated that the opponent might have a trump card.
She had even prepared herself for a hard battle, or to stall until Mother Dragon arrived to save the day.
But this scene... was a bit too much for a dragon's imagination...
Rip!
The bikini was torn to shreds by his vice-like hands.
As scraps of fabric fluttered through the air, Irene was just about to curse him out as a dead pervert when she saw cracks split open across the dwarf's body.
He looked like a piece of porcelain that had been shattered and glued back together!
Golden light burst from the cracks, faintly illuminating the dark night.
“Shit! He's self-destructing!!!”
Irene cursed loudly, spinning around to run.
This guy had suffered a social death and didn't want to live anymore, but he actually wanted to drag the two of them down with him!
A smile spread across Iron Hammer's fleshy face, and he threw his head back, laughing hysterically.
His body began to inflate, his bulging muscles turning bloated as he continued to swell!
In just an instant, he went from a humanoid shape into a sphere with a head!
“Let's die together! Let's die together!!!”
“Hahahahaha! I shall return to the divine kingdom of His Holiness the God of Light!!”
Boom!!!
After screaming those final words, his body violently contracted into a single point, then exploded with a deafening roar!
Even the surrounding air seemed to be ignited by the intense heat of the explosion.
A shockwave carrying the aura of destruction rapidly expanded outward in all directions from the center of the blast!
“Fuck! Clerics are all lunatics!”
Irene cursed as she rushed to Daviel's side.
While the latter still had a dazed, confused look on his face, she grabbed him by one of his claws.
Using every ounce of her strength, she dragged him along, flapping her dragon wings as she ran.
Given the sheer power of this explosion, at least a few hundred meters around them would be reduced to ruins.
But her dragon wings, devoid of any magical fluctuations, dealt Irene a harsh reality check.
“...Damn it! The anti-flight magic still hasn't worn off!”
Cursing again, and driven by the sheer crisis of life and death, Irene managed to sprint with the momentum of a champion runner purely on her two legs.
Due to her massive size, the air seemed to rip apart as she ran, producing a series of piercing, whistling sounds.
Only now did Daviel, who was being dragged along by Irene, finally grasp the situation. He quickly pulled his claw free.
Moving his front limbs at a frantic pace, he ran while shouting complaints:
“What the @#%... Shit... &%$#...”
The terrain in the forest was complex.
Irene and Daviel had to constantly dodge obstacles, and their escape speed was clearly no match for the rapidly approaching shockwave.
Just as the blazing shockwave was about to touch the tails of the two dragons...
Roar!!!
Amidst a deafening dragon roar, a tangible Dragon Fear descended from the heavens, enveloping the entire forest.
Descending alongside the Dragon Fear was an invisible barrier.
Boom!
The shockwave from the explosion slammed into the barrier, creating ripples across its invisible surface.
It was unable to spread even a fraction of an inch further.
Having survived the disaster, Daviel collapsed onto the ground in exhaustion, panting heavily.
“We... we're saved...”
Irene also let out a long sigh of relief. Then, she raised her head and forced a very strained smile.
“Hi, Mom, good evening...”
