Chapter 152 · Volume 1

The Only Thing Miss Saintess Doesn't Know

“Phew... Hah... This should be far enough, right?”
After turning who knew how many corners, Lin Ling’s stamina finally reached its limit.
“This Saintess has decided! From now on, this Saintess will train using her own two feet!”
Ever since she learned how to fly, Lin Ling’s stamina had plummeted like water poured onto the ground.
Niya-chan’s daily onslaught of gentleness had almost turned the great Miss Saintess into a complete slacker.
Thinking about Niya’s meticulous, daily care, it now looked like... was she trying to use a “boiling a Saintess in warm water” strategy?! What a terrifying person.
As Lin Ling leaned against the wall to walk, she suddenly felt her face press against something soft.
“Huh?”
A scent of sunshine wafted into Lin Ling’s nose.
Sniff, sniff...
This scent... it had to be Sia-chan.
Lin Ling looked up, and sure enough, the person she had accidentally pressed herself against was Leticia, who was currently looking down at her with a calm expression.
“Is Miss Saintess playing another interesting game?”
Danasuo poked her head out of Leticia’s pocket. Seeing the two Saintesses pressed together, she figured Master Lin Ling must have caused some kind of trouble again.
Otherwise, this particular Saintess would definitely not be blushing so furiously.
Watching Leticia hold Lin Ling in her arms to give her a support to rest against, Danasuo suddenly seemed to sense a surge of barely suppressed magic from afar. She quickly flew over to Leticia’s ear.
“Sia, hurry up and let go of Miss Saintess! It feels like something terrifying is coming from over there.”
To be sure, Danasuo even absorbed a tiny bit of the magic drifting from the distance to confirm the identity of the approaching figure.
“Just a little longer.”
“No way, Miss Saintess! If you keep hugging her, you're going to be in big trouble!”
Danasuo immediately floated up and yanked on Lin Ling’s headscarf.
“Sia, let go quickly! She's coming! She's really coming!”
Danasuo went as far as to completely pull off the headscarf pinned to Lin Ling’s head, but it was too late. It was truly too late.
In Danasuo’s perception, the magic behind them was already incredibly close.
“The two of you make such a lovely picture, Miss Saintesses.”
Ivelia took the headscarf Danasuo held out to her and walked straight toward the embracing Lin Ling.
Seeing the smiling Ivelia approach, Leticia directly gave the Lin Ling in her arms a gentle push toward the Demon King.
Lin Ling’s eyes flew open, filled with utter disbelief.
At a time like this, Sia-chan actually chose to push Miss Saintess into the terrifying abyss?!
Though Her Majesty the Demon King probably didn't count as a terrifying abyss... right?
This Saintess wasn't sure, but at this moment, the scent of sunshine she was smelling had already shifted to the scent of violets.
“You must be tired after running for so long.”
Ivelia looked at Lin Ling, whose hair was a mess as she was pushed into her arms, and reached out to tidy it for her.
“You're preparing that right now, aren't you?”
Although Ivelia’s eyes remained fixed on the quiet Lin Ling in her arms, she suddenly threw the question at Leticia.
“You know about it?”
“Of course.”
Leticia had clearly seen the Demon King following Lin Ling around these past few days, but then again, she was the Demon King. On second thought, it made sense.
“It should be almost ready by now. Mr. Baroque said it would be done in a day or two.”
“Eh? What are you two talking about?”
“What are you preparing behind this Saintess’s back?!”
Hearing the two riddle-speakers having a conversation she knew nothing about, Lin Ling instantly grew restless.
To think they were keeping secrets from Miss Saintess! Had this Saintess already been kicked out of the band?!
In her mind, Lin Ling could already picture Ivelia suddenly slamming the door open and saying to her: “I'm here to put an end to this band.”
Please, anything but that!
“Why are you keeping it a secret from this Saintess? For something like this, shouldn't you let this Saintess know so we can work on it together?”
Seeing Lin Ling squirming in her arms, Ivelia gently pinned the headscarf back onto her head.
“Maintaining a sense of mystery is part of the fun at times like this.”
“What my dear Miss Saintess should do right now is stay expectant.”
Seeing that the headscarf was successfully secured, Ivelia let go of the Lin Ling in her arms.
Meanwhile, Danasuo quietly absorbed a tiny bit of Ivelia’s magic to send a transmission to Lin Ling.
“Lady Saintess, I’ve hidden the secret two days in the future. If you want to find out, go look for it!”
Hearing the transmission, Lin Ling glanced at Danasuo, who was hiding behind Ivelia, and gave her an "I get what you mean" look.
“In that case, this Saintess will just pretend she doesn't know anything~”
Lin Ling tilted her head up and put her hands behind her back, putting on an "I don't care at all" look.
Each of her steps was full of carefree confidence.
Damn it, I want to know so badly!
Why does it have to be in two days? I want to know, I want to know, I want to know!!!
Once her back was turned, Lin Ling’s face twisted into a grimace of pure agony.
Ivelia watched Lin Ling walk away.
Only after her figure disappeared around the corner did she slowly withdraw her gaze and turn to look at Danasuo.
“You did a good job with this.”
If not for Danasuo, with her own personality, she might really not have known how to break this to her Saintess.
“Hehehe, you have to do your best too, Your Majesty!”
With that, Danasuo and Leticia exchanged a glance, and Leticia instantly understood, holding her palm out to Danasuo.
Clap!
Their palms lightly met.
Danasuo even spun around happily in the air.
“Alright, Sia, we need to go prepare too. Bye-bye, Your Majesty!”
After their coordinated high-five, Danasuo floated back onto Leticia’s shoulder.
Looking at Leticia’s shoulders, she noticed that two slightly awkward pockets had been sewn onto her clothes at some point.
“It seems your sewing skills are quite good.”
Having said that, Ivelia walked off in the direction Lin Ling had gone.
Hearing Ivelia’s words, Leticia reached up to touch the pockets sewn onto her clothes.
“Sia’s skills actually got praised by Her Majesty!”
“Doesn't this prove that Teacher Danasuo is a great teacher?”
“Oh, you. Mrs. Nashi was clearly the one who taught me. You haven't even learned it properly yourself, 'Teacher Danasuo'.”
“That’s not Teacher Danasuo’s fault! Mom was clearly being biased!”
“Yes, yes.”
